May 2015 Student teaching at John Sevier Elementary School located
in Maryville, TN. My responsibilities included working with small
groups and whole group. I planned daily lessons, activities, and
centers in all subject areas using engaging and hands-on materials.
Co-teaching with my mentor teacher, Geoffery Hamm, was a major part
of my responsibilities. We collaborated on lesson planning and
classroom management to create an environment where learning would
thrive. I designed literacy and math small groups and centers to
differentiate instruction and meet the individual needs of
students. I was also involved in creating new classroom management
tools.
Student Teacher (Grade Two: November 2013) (Grade Five: March
2015) Student teaching in second grade at Farragut Primary in
Danielle Richardsons classroom, and in fifth grade at Farragut
Intermediate in Michelle Harris classroom. My responsibilities
included working with individuals, small groups, and whole group. I
also planned lessons and activities in all areas of instruction.
These two experiences also gave me a chance to work with children
with special needs.
Childrens Craft Instructor (Michaels Stores) May 2014
presentCurrently teaching children Pre-K through 5th grades. I am
responsible for leading the students in creating specific crafts.
In these classes I foster a creative environment through respect,
patience, and understanding.
Vacation Bible School Music Leader (Outreach Christian Church)
2011-2013Music leader for children ages five to thirteen. My
responsibilities included leading music in a fun and energetic way,
teaching the children different songs, and working with children
from all backgrounds.

2011-2013Teacher for children ages five to ten. My responsibilities
included classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching
creative lessons.
Pre-school Assistant Teacher (Dotson Memorial Parents Day Out)
2013I was responsible for assisting in the three year old
classroom. I gained experience working with pre-school children and
how to meet their needs.
