Before using your Oskar® Professional• Washtheprocessingbowl,coverandall
attachmentsinwarmwaterusingamilddetergent.Dryeachpartthoroughlybeforeuse.
• Beforeyouassemblethefoodprocessor,ensurethatthepowercordisunplugged.
1.Placethemotorbasefacingyouonadry,levelsurface.
2.Placetheprocessingbowlontothemotorbase,thebowlwillonlysitcorrectlyonthebasewhenthehandleispositionedtotheright,seefigure1.
3.Rotatethehandleclockwisetolock,asindicatedbythegraphicsontheleftsideofthemotorbase,seefigure2.
4.Positionthelidontotheprocessingbowl.Youwillnoticeasolidgreyarrow�totheleftoftheholdingliponthelid,whenplacingthelidontothebowlthisarrowneedstoalignwiththesolidgreyarrow�onthehandleofthebowl.Tolock,turnthelidclockwise,asindicatedbythegraphics,onthetopofthehandle,seefigure3.

3.Afteryouhavecompletedprocessing,presstheOn/Offbuttontostopprocessing.

ChoppingForthebest,mostconsistentresults,youshouldtrytoprocesspiecesoffoodthatareapproximatelyequalinsize.Whenyoubreak,cutortearfoodintouniformpiecesbeforeyoubeginprocessing,thefinishedresultswillbemoreuniform.Moreconsistentprocessingresultsareachievedifthecontainerisnotoverloaded.
MincingPre-cutmeatintocubesapproximately2cmsquare.
VegetablesWhenprocessingvegetablessuchasonions,peelandquarterorcutlargevegetablesintoeighths.
MixingThequantitiesthatcanbeprocessedwithintheProcessingbowlwillvarywiththedensityofthemixture.
Adding IngredientsWhenvariousrecipesrequiredryingredientssuchasflour,addthemdirectlyintotheprocessingbowlbeforeprocessing.Thereisnoneedtosiftingredientswhenusingyourfoodprocessor.Liquidingredientsmaybeaddedwhiletheprocessorisoperatingbypouringthroughthefeedtubeintheprocessorcover.
Note: Whenprocessingsaucesorsemi-liquidingredients,stopthefoodprocessorandscrapedownthecontainersideswiththespatulaprovided.
Using the Feed TubeThemostimportantfactorforsuccessfulslicingandshreddingisthewayinwhichthefoodispackedintothefeedtube.
When slicing, shredding and gratingCutallingredientstoasizethatfitscomfortablyintothefeedtube.Packthefeedtubeand,whileholdingfoodsteadyanduprightwiththefoodpusher,pressdownevenlyuntilallingredientsareslicedorshredded.Themorefirmlyyoupush,thethickertheslicesorshreds.Donotuseexcessiveforceoryoumaydamagethefoodprocessor.
Note: Neverusefingerstopushfooddownthefeedtube.Alwaysusethefoodpusher.
For best results when slicing.Thefeedtubeshouldalwaysbepackedfirmlytoalloweachpieceoffoodtosupporttheothers.Therewillalwaysbeasmallportionoffoodleftunprocessedbetweenthefoodpusherandtheblade.

For best results when shredding and gratingRememberthatsofterfoodssuchascheese(cheddar,mozzarellaorswiss)shouldbewellchilledbeforeprocessing.HarderfoodssuchasparmesanorRomanocheeseshouldbeatroomtemperaturebeforeprocessing.
