As part of the CHA Safer Hospitals Iniave, CHA is pleased to offer OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training for Healthcare. This program promotes workplace safety and health by increasing healthcare workers’ recognion, avoidance, and prevenon of workplace hazards. This two-day training, offered in partnership with PMA Companies, will be held at CHA in Wallingford. This program is intended for hospital staff from the following areas: employee safety, environment of care, workers compensaon, engineering, facilies, administraon, clinical care, risk management, human resources, and anyone involved in their hospital’s safety program. NOTE: This is a two-day program; registrants must aend both sessions in order to receive an OSHA card. Registraon and Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Program: 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019 and Friday, September 27, 2019 OSHA 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training for Healthcare Presenters: Mary-Jane Yacovone, RN, BSN, MS, COHN-S, HEM, has been a cerfied OSHA Outreach Trainer for four years. She has been a Cerfied Occupaonal Health Nurse Specialist for more than 28 years, and holds a Master Degree in Occupaonal Safety and Health Management. Ms. Yacovone has experience in the hospital sengs, both working in the emergency department and managing the neuroscience ICU and step down units. Ernie St. Amant, CHSO, has been a cerfied OSHA Outreach Trainer for more than 20 years. He has 26 years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety profession. William Moran, MA, STCS, CSHO, has 30+ years of experience in the occupaonal health and safety field, and 20+ years as a cerfied OSHA Outreach Trainer. He earned a Master Degree in Occupaonal Health and Safety Applied Science. Mr. Moran also serves as an adjunct professor at Keene State, teaching Occupaonal Health and safety. Mary-Jane Yacovone, RN, BSN, MS, COHN-S, HEM, has been a certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for four years.
