Education & Community
Resource Guide April 2016
Dear DC Families: It is with great excitement that I write to you to share the second edition of our online Education & Community Resource Guide, which was developed by the Office of the Student Advocate. The mission of our office is to guide and support students, parents, families, and communities in navigating the DC education landscape. This resource guide not only assists our office in fulfilling our mission but also gives anyone who accesses it the ability to take advantage of a plethora of resources that impact education and educational attainment. The Education & Resource Guide can be found at http://sboe.dc.gov/page/resource. I ask that you please share this guide with your constituents and networks. It has been a true honor to serve students and families in a way that helps to foster meaningful connections and collaboration in a way that allows them to be informed, be connected and be empowered. Our office looks forward to continuing to serve the education community in a way that positively impacts all public school students in the District of Columbia. Please feel free to contact our office at (202) 741-4692 or [email protected] if you have questions about our work, this resource guide, or would like to discuss opportunities for us to work in partnership together. Sincerely,
Faith Faith Gibson-Hubbard Chief Student Advocate Office of the Student Advocate | D.C. State Board of Education 441 4th St. NW, Suite 723N, Washington, DC 20001
