Participants: 1 man (45 years old), 4 women (10, 12, 16 and 44 years old). Participants passed the Ishihara color test.

A visual match of the low voltage incandescent lamp at 3000K can be obtained with

Conclusions, continued

The participants expressed concern that it was impossible to exactly match the appearance of low voltage incandescent with LEDs since „something is missing“

Nevertheless, they preferred a match of white+green+amber+red instead of white+green+red

They rejected trials without green

Conclusions, continued

Red-orange was rejected as a member for matching, since it created an artificial glow and seemed to too much of a good thing

Every LED combination seemed to be missing the whitish-light yellow appearance of the low voltage incandescent

Amber with white, green and red is necessary to achieve a CRI over 90

Without amber, the CRI hovers around 80
