Orvis Milner Orvis Milner is best known as a multi-sport star who played foot- ball and baseball for The University of Tennessee. He was also an accomplished golfer, with a number of senior amateur golf championships. He spent many years as a USGA regional affairs committee member who conducted numerous qualifying events for that organization and was a Tennessee Golf Association Director for more than 45 years. Milner originated the Tennessee Four-Ball, running Knoxville’s first Four-Ball tournaments in 1971. Jim Bush In 1998, Jim led a group of Knoxville businessmen who construct- ed The Wee Course at Williams Creek, home of The First Tee of Greater Knoxville, to provide a place where at-risk kids could learn and play the game of golf. Through his professional and personal connections, Jim was able to raise almost $4 Million to build the golf course. Over the last 15 years, he has maintained his commitment to The First Tee of Greater Knoxville serving as a board member, including Board Chairman from 2001-2006. Jim is very active in the community and has been honored with a number of awards, served on numerous boards, founded the Knoxville Open Ben Hogan Tour in 1990, and is a member of the East Tennessee Business Hall of Fame.
