Task of the E-Library Services:•Coordination of digitisation workflows•Prepare for the implementation of a suitable digital object management system

•15 TB digital storage facility (partially outsourced)

•DMEK (=Digital Storage) managed by the E-Library Services

•limited descriptive metadata and shelf number

•Data validation tool

E-Library: Hungarian Electronic Library

Main challenge:•Unified search interface•Up-to-date metadata exchange format for all databases

Imminent task:•Introduction of a new Digital Repository System for the whole collection

With the following in mind:•Up-to date metadata exchange formats (MARC21, RDF, RDA)•Authority data axchange (e.g. Viaf.org)•Updating existing data-exchange relations (EUROPEANA, TEL, regional databases)•Integration of all collections and sub-collections

•Description rules need to be implemented for special document types•Unified interface for all digital content

•With special display options for special collections (e.g. virtual exhibitions)
