Fold the paper in half to form a triangle, color side UP. Unfold the paper and repeat to make folds seen in the image. Fold two edges in, forming a kite-shape on top. Repeat on other side. Flip the paper to colored side facing down and fold the paper in half forming a rectangle. Unfold the paper and repeat to make folds seen in like this image. Fold along all four creases at once to form a square with the open end facing you. Imagine how many wishes you will have, now that you have time as a non-smoker to fold them. Back to the crane. Pull the bottom corner (top layer only) up above the top corner. Fold along the creases you made in steps 4 and 5. Repeat on the other side. Fold two edges in to form a kite-shape. Hey, that’s a nice-looking kite. Repeat that on the other side. pg. 1 Fold the point down and crease above the other two folds. Flip the paper and repeat fold. There is an old saying that if you make 1,000 origami cranes, you will be granted a wonderful wish.

When you’re quitting smoking, keeping your hands busy can provide you with the distraction you need to get through a craving.

Congrats, non-smoker. Just 999 Cranes more to fold and you’re on your way to a wonderful wish ahead.

Fold the top layer (right side) to lay on top of the left side. Flip that over and repeat on the other side. We’re going to repeat this a bit in the next steps.

Fold down those wings and silently express gratitude for those angelic friends and family in your life supporting you as you quit.

Fold up the top layer as far as you can on each side.

Fold the top layer (right side) to lay on top of the left side like you’re turning the page of a book. Flip over and repeat on the other side.
