ORM teachers to CMS to tour classrooms & have a meet and greet with 4th grade team
3rd & 4th grade pen pal activities

Electives 4th Grade Music Options: students will have music once a week, just like now - Mrs. Green will teach both classes. A band option will be offered in 5th grade - middle school.
● Introduction to Instruments - New offeringStudents will be introduced to rhythmic and melodic instrumental techniques and practices. The first semester will focus on rhythm, and students will be playing a variety of percussion instruments and learning about the music of various cultures. Second semester, students will start working on recorder to learn about melody, and gain confidence with reading music notation, fingerings, and wind instrument technique and vocabulary.
● General Music - similar to what the current ‘non-band’ option has beenStudents will explore music through a variety of activities including singing, composing, listening, and playing. They will explore music, learning to use software such as GarageBand and WeVideo to create music and multimedia presentations, exploring musical theater, and singing a wide variety of repertoire.
