A 3-day “Entrepreneurship Awareness Workshop” was organized by The Centre for Entrepreneurship

Development (A Govt. of Gujarat Organization) at the A.Y. Dadabhai Technical Institute, Kosamba from

8th March to 10th March, 2016. The workshop was sponsored by K.P. Group of Industries,Surat.

This workshop was organized for 75 final year students from all disciplines, with a view to expose

students as well as faculty of our institute to entrepreneurship as an alternative career. It was aimed at

creating awareness & guidance among students about various aspects of entrepreneurship while

highlighting the merits of pursuing such a career option. All 75 students were exposed to different aspects

of entrepreneurship including opportunity guidance, services offered by agencies of support system, etc.

The inauguration function of the workshop was held on 8th March, 2016 at 10:00 AM at seminar hall, in

the presence of, Chief guest Mr. Farukbhai Patel (CMD, K P Group of Companies), Mr. Shaheedul

Hasan(COO, K P Energy Ltd) along with team of K P Group of Companies, Mr. Mayank Mehta (Deputy

project leader, CED), Mr. M.M. Dalchawal (Director, A.Y. Dadabhai Tech. Inst.), print & electronic

media personals and other prominent personalities.

The function started with introduction & welcome of all guests by our director, Mr. M.M. Dalchawal.

After felicitation, Mr. Mayank Mehta briefed all about the CED & its activities along with workshop &

its importance. Mr. Shaheedul Hasan shared few inspirational stories from his experience to motivate

students for building better future. Mr. Farukbhai Patel in his brief speech shared his journey towards a

successful entrepreneur & the success story of K.P. Group of Companies. Inaugural function concluded

with media briefing by chief guest Mr. Farukbhai Patel & his team, as also by CED team.

With the end of inaugural function, first session of workshop commenced by Mr. Mayank Mehta

from CED, Gandhinagar. All the participants were provided lunch on all 3 days of the workshop at the

end of morning sessions.

Prominent speakers like Mr. Parag Oza(ARDOUR smarketing), Mr. Nitin Tailor(Founder &

CEO,SERVE HAPPINESS FOUNDATION), Mr. Sandip Patel(Assistant Project Leader,CED) & Mr.

Bhagwat Yagnik(Management Adviser,YAGNIK MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS) have shared

their knowledge & experience on various aspects of Entrepreneurship Development during different

sessions of the workshop for 3 days.

An important session by Bank Officers (BANK OF BARODA) was conducted on 2nd day

regarding schemes of assistance & financial support from banks.

Student participants along with faculty members were taken for factory visit at Mahavir Steel Pvt

Ltd, Kosamba, were experience by the entrepreneur was shared.

Mr. Bhagwat Yagnik with a session on creativity & business, the behavioral scientist’s approach

At the end of concluding session on the 3rd day afternoon, feedback by participants & discussion on

workshop was held, which was followed by validation functions, were Mr. Mayank Mehta thanked all

students & faculty members for the success of the workshop & echoed for more collaboration with the

institute in future. Our Director in his concluding remarks also thanked CED & all expert speakers for

their effort put in during the workshop & assured to arrange more such programs beneficial to students

in building their future.

Students were very happy by getting opportunity to participate in this workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship

Awareness’ & found very enthusiastic & upbeat for startup after competition of diploma studies. This

workshop was aimed at promoting Start up India initiative started by Govt. of India.
