The RecipeAfter you have collected all the ingredients, you need to follow these simple steps to get yourself an aromatic and fresh natural deodorant. Firstly, take shea butter

and organic coconut oil and melt the two in a boiler over medium but indirect heat. You can also combine the two of these components in a heat-resistant jar, cover it and then put it in small pan of boiling water.

Afterwards, put off the heat and then add the baking soda and arrowroot. If arrowroot is not easily available, you can mix more baking soda as an alternative. Mix the entire blend until thoroughly mixed.

Pour few drops of your favourite essential oil into the mixture. The type of essential oil you use largely determines the fragrance your deodorant is going to have. So, pick a fragrance that suits you and your taste; you can easily go with evergreen fragrances like lavender, rosemary, sandalwood, etc. These essential oils have a subtle fragrance and will surely last for a longer period of time.

Now, store the entire blend into a glass jar. This mixture does not require being stored into the fridge. Another alternative is to let it cool down completely until it becomes solid and then use it with a stick for convenience. Although this entire

procedure is slightly lengthy and more difficult than just buying a synthetic perfume but the end result is extremely healthy and safe for your skin. Another much easier recipe with the same ingredient is mixing 4 teaspoons of baking soda and arrowroot together in a bowl and then add 6 tablespoons of coconut oil in the said mixture.

Natural deodorants or homemade deodorants are gradually gaining popularity among people not only because they are healthy but also because there are some high risks involved with using artificial fragrances.

These synthetic perfumes have been proved to be linked with diseases like cancer, migraines, severe headaches and even Alzheimer’s. This is one strong reason behind using homemade deodorants on our skin to protect our skin from any kind of harmful and adverse reactions. You can also opt for organic perfumes as these are perfumes that are chemical-free and are made using the same procedures described above.
