Katherine Pascoe Principal
Kia ora koutou,
Welcome to our new students Lily, Neve, Zoe, Macey, Ruby and Louie.
We hope you enjoyed a lovely break with your families, we are looking forward to the new term ahead with your children.
Things have been busy over the holidays at school as preparation began for two new classrooms that have arrived and are getting ready to be used in a few weeks!
We had a water leak that was tricky to find... however Mr Mogg and some plumbers were very busy over the holidays and its all sorted, Area 1 had a big hole outside it which is all covered up now .
Mrs Keating has been busy getting Area 3 ready for her new class to start in week 4 which she is really looking forward too!
We have some stunning photos up in our Administration area taken by the very talented Mrs Boot! Please come and have a look at some of our lovely students on display!
Road Safety
Reminder to drive safely around our school our students are very precious.
Before School
Thank you for working with us to ensure your children are here ready to start the day on time in the mornings. We have also really appreciated children not being here before 8:15am in the mornings to ensure they are safe.
Community stand
Our stand is looking a little empty , if you have anything you would like to drop off to our community stand please feel free to do so. Fresh produce, tinned goods, pasta, and rice, just to name a few are always appreciated. Many thanks in advance for supporting our community.
ANZAC Day
We were delighted to be able to attend the RSA ANZAC service at Vipond’s Rd again this year. Sean and Riley very proudly placed a wreath on behalf of Orewa North school and it was really great to see such an excellent turnout in support of this special day .

Tips for Reducing Your Waste free Workload
If you don't do so already, try packing lunches the night before and keeping them in the refrigerator overnight.
Make your children responsible for adding the ice pack and placing their own lunchbox near the door or in the car.
Teach your older children how to make nutritious, waste-free lunches and then let them make their own lunches.
Older children can also be responsible for washing their reusable lunch containers or rinsing them and putting them in the dishwasher.
Children of all ages can take responsibility for putting recyclables in the recycle bin.
