Oracle Upgrade Release 11

Approximately every six months, upgrades are made to Oracle Financials Cloud. This is based on feedback from customers to improve the functionality and overall user experience.

CIMA benefits from these improvements and is able to contribute to defining what upgrades are made.

For this particular upgrade the major change that affects you is to the look and feel of the Expenses homepage. It is different to what you will be used to.

It is important to stress that the functionality of creating and submitting your expenses has not changed.

The below slides will demonstrate the basic changes which allow you to navigate confidently aroundthe Expenses Homepage.

There are now three boxes (known as infotiles) displayed on the homepage

1. Expense Items this box indicates items not yet added to an expense report (now split between cash and credit card items)2. Expense Reports this box indicates how many reports are either Saved, In Progress or In Approval stage3. Approvals if you are a line manager, this box will indicate how many reports require approval

The box that is outlined in blue indicates which area you are currently viewing. In the example below, the box “Expense Items” is outlined in blue. The number 3 is underlined represents the credit charges displayed underneath.

In the below example “Expense Items” is selected. The number 3 is underlined represents the 3 expense items listed underneath. Select all three line items and then click on “Add to Report”

There are two ways to create a brand new expense report.

Click on the Actions button on the right hand side and select “Create Expense Report”

2. Click on the Actions button on the right hand side and select “Take the Product Tour”. This will take you to the below screen, allowing you to access most features within Expenses.

This page will also enable you to do other functions within expenses as well as review the Oracle expenses video. Some of the items in the video are not available to CIMA

Once you have started your expense report, to add expense items to your claim, click on the + icon under Expense Items

6. Adding an expense item to an existing expense report

If you need to delete an expense item from your report, click on the line item you wish to delete. This will become highlighted.Click on the X button on the right hand side and this will delete the line.

To manage your bank accounts or add delegates to enter expenses on your behalf, click on the Tasks icon and select on the appropriate selection.

You can also do this via “Product Tour” –> please refer to page 9
