Optiwax is a Finnish wax brand for snowboarding, alpine skiing and cross country skiing. The products are developed by an award winning company, led by a large group of powerful players in the ski world. Their enthusiastic and long term efforts strive to deliver more pleasurable skiing by making the preparation of skis as easy as possible. Besides ski waxes, our nanotechnology is also used in waxless cross country skis, which won the most prestigious innovation award in Finland in 2010.

The perfect pleasure of skiing can only be achieved with excellent glide. When the glide wax is long-lasting, fast, and easy to use, you can enjoy the best of skiing every time. Our Optiwax glide tapes are the number one choice, especially for beginners. Tape waxing can be done without any special waxing equipment and it results in almost racing level glide for up to 200 kilometers.

The glide tapes are also widely used by ski racers – the durability has offered many great results in long ski marathon races. The glide tape is also the perfect choice for skiing holidays due to the fact that one single visit to the wax room offers great glide for many days. World class athletes also appreciate the extreme durability and ease-of-use of our Optiwax glide tapes. Optiwax has three different widths of glide tape for XC-skiing, alpine skiing, and snowboarding.

Attach tip or tail of the ski to the glide tape package and pull out the glide tape over the glide area of ski (with the letters up). Heat the iron up to 150–160 C°. You do not need a special waxing iron. Glide the iron slowly on the glide tape so that the wax will warm and attach in the ski glide surface. After ironing pull the glide tape away and brush the ski.
