THE NEIGHBORHOODThe Arts District is currently the most talked about area in Los Angeles. The distrcit originally served as the center of agricultural and manufacturing for Los Angeles. It has an abundant amount of warehouses that were left vacant and abandoned following World War II. Artists saw this opportunity to colonize the area converting many of the empty industrial buildings into studios, thus revitalizing the neighborhood.
Third and Traction is located in the epicenter of the Arts District, an area that has shown significant growth in the residential, retail and restaurant markets. Tenants such as Wurstkuche, Umami Burger, Poketo and Alchemy Works give this area a mix of retail and restaurants not found in other districts throughout Los Angeles.
