Powerful in Its Simplicity Trocar Sweep is a 5mm, single-use surgical instrument used during a laparoscopic surgical procedure to quickly and thoroughly remove fluid and debris from optical laparoscopic trocars. After removal of a laparoscope from a trocar during the procedure, Trocar Sweep is used to clean the trocar’s valve, seal, and lumen to prevent fluid smears, smudges and deposits from accumulating on the laparoscope’s camera as it is re-inserted into the trocar. INDICATIONSTrocar Sweep is indicted for use during endoscopic, laparoscopic or robotic surgery to remove optical trocar fluid and debris. One (1) Trocar Sweep should be used per trocar cleaning.

Please refer to the Trocar Sweep device IFU for more details of specific contraindications.• Trocar Sweep is a single-use device not intended

for re-sterilization. Contact Trocar Sweep, LLC for the risks associated with reuse. • Trocar Sweep should be disposed in accordance

with local guidelines for medical waste. • Device is sterile if the package is unopened,

dry or undamaged. Do not use if the pouch is damaged or package seal is broken.

• Discard the device if mishandling has caused possible damage or contamination or if the device has passed it’s expiration date.

Using Trocar Sweep1. Distal instrument end identified by 5 white

circular foam discs.2. Proximal end directly opposite white circular

foam discs.3. Grasp the proximal instrument end and push the

distal end into the trocar. Do not release or bend the Trocar Sweep

4. Slowly insert while simultaneously rolling the instrument between fingers into the trocar until the distal end clears the trocar lumen.
