Administration and phone support. Training provided. Visit www.newcommunities.ie for more info Where: 10 Cornmarket, Dublin 8 When: 8 hours per week for at least 6 months Role: Stewards for Camara race / Camara Education What's Involved? Volunteers needed for stewarding, registering the runners and manning the water stations. Where: Sandymount Strand, Dublin 4 When: 4 hours for one day. Sat 26th May from 8am until Midday Role: Photographer for National Volunteering Week / Dublin City South Volunteer Centre What's Involved? Photographers to travel around to the different events during NVW and capture the activities on camera! Where: Dublin City South area When: Anytime between 12th and 19th of May (National Volunteer Week), must be flexible Role: Official Greeter at Dublin Greeters / Dublin Greeters What's Involved? Welcome visitors and spend time with them, showing them places they particularly like off the beaten track. Communicate info to those involved. Open and close the premises. Assist with running activities & write-‐ups. Where: Dublin 2 When: One to two evenings a week. Minimum commitment of six months Role: Volunteer Computer Tutor / The Matt Talbot Community Trust What's Involved? Tutor our Fetac Level 4 Computers class on a Thursday morning. There are 6 adult students in the class Where: Kylemore Road, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 When: Every Thursday morning from 9.30 to 11.00 Role: Office Help / The Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland What's Involved? We need a local volunteer to help us organise left over stock by bagging, boxing and storing it. Where: 24 Lower Rathmines Road, Dublin 6 When: 1 day in the next week Role: World MS Day Collectors / MS Ireland What's Involved? Shake a bucket for an hour or more to support over 8,000 people living with MS in Ireland. Where: Dublin City Centre When: Wednesday 30th May Role: Organic Gardening Assistant / Organics Community Education DIY What's Involved? Seed sowing, weeding, digging and preparing of beds, transplanting, mulching and composting. Where: The Heritage Garden, Bloomfield Avenue, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. When: 4hrs per week for 9 months Role: Trainer in Digital Photography / Crosscare What's Involved? Train a small group (beginners/males/varied ages) in digital photography in a relaxed atmosphere. Where: Drumcondra, Dublin 9 When: 1 hour per month for 3 months Role: Event Steward - Lord Mayors Get Active Challenge / Dublin City Council What's Involved? Stewards will direct runners, walkers and cyclists along the designated course through St Anne's Park. Where: St. Anne's Park, Dublin 3 When: Volunteers needed on Sunday 27th May 2012 from 9.30am -‐ 2pm Role: Volunteer Fundraising Researcher / RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) Ireland What's Involved? Research ways to get young people involved with fundraising for the RNLI. Work alongside the Community Fundraising Manager, use existing research and organisational skills to investigate how we can approach the Education Curriculum, to assist with fundraising and create a database to assist the Fundraising Team working in the community. Where: From Home When: 6 weeks on your own time. Role: Volunteer Collectors / RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) Ireland What's Involved? We are looking for volunteers with a friendly and welcoming nature who can offer their time to help collect at a number of DART Stations throughout Dublin on Tuesday 1st May.
