Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches: SUNDAY PRAYER LINK

Please pray for Crandall University & Acadia Divinity College as they have recently received students for the new academic year. Pray for encourage-ment, discipline in studies, spiritual growth, and for new friendships for their students. Pray for all students as they begin a new school year.

CBM PRAYERLINE CENTRAL AFRICA Pray for peace in Central Africa. As shared by CBM Africa Team Leaders, Erica and Aaron Kenny, one of the many challenges facing the African church today is due to rising insecurity and violence. Pray for an end to the insecurity in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, and for local churches facing the aftermath of such conflicts regularly. May they serve as beacons of peace and reconciliation, as well as our part-ner, the Baptist Community in Central Africa. Also pray that the Canadian government and international bodies may take insecurity in these areas seriously, and for strong leader-ship in the CBCA during this difficult time.

GLOBAL International Literacy Day was September 8. We want to remember what a privilege it is to be able to receive education, and the dignity around being able to read and write. Please pray for CBM ministries in the countries we work in that work to provide this opportunity for young and old alike. Whether it is in providing tutoring centres in rural villages in India, self-help groups for men and women in Kenya, or supporting schooling for working children or children with incarcerated parents in Bolivia, all need the chance to be able to learn.

RWANDA Jonathan and Jan Mills, CBM Field Staff in Rwanda, are in Canada for the next three months on home assignment. Each Sunday they will be speaking at different churches, with more detailed speaking engagements on cer-tain Friday evenings, to share about the minis-tries they are involved in that you may be inter-ested in supporting. Please pray that their health will keep up over their speaking engage-ment schedule, and that God’s work in Rwanda may continue to excite and inspire congrega-tions and individuals across Canada, to be in-volved with kingdom work locally and globally.
