GPRAMA 2010OPM Requirements

“OPM, in consultation with the Performance Improvement Council (PIC), by January 2013, shall incorporate skills and competencies needed by Federal employees to carry out a variety of performance management activities (i.e. developing goals, evaluating programs and analyzing and using performance information) into relevant position classification.”

Steps – Classification Study

• Evaluated Position Descriptions (PDs), Job Opportunity Announcements (JOAs), GPRAMA (2010) Law, studies, reports, etc.

• Identified and reviewed 12 occupational series to determine if existing classification policy was sufficient

• Linked job analysis competencies to classification

• Aligned performance management activities with classification

• Developed draft classification recommendation for PIC and OMB review
