1. Introduction

1.1 What Purpose Does the KSB Internet Application Portal Serve?

The KSB Internet Application Portal enables users around the world to access the

applications of the central KSB CTX Farm at KSB AG (Germany). Access is possible using

any Internet connection.

To gain access, it is necessary to install the Citrix client software (see Annex for

instructions). It is not necessary to install other KSB applications on the end user's

computer.

In addition to the Windows ID, token authentication also ensures that access is secured.

The purpose of this measure is to provide secure access and a safe working environment,

as well as to protect the infrastructure of KSB AG (Germany) from unauthorized access

attempts.

The Token authentication is exposed until fall 2016 out of technical reasons. Until the

authentication is implement you can access the KSB Citrix Farm with only your

Windows – EMEA Account information (username and password).

The target group is external service providers, KSB locations outside the central data

network, and KSB employees who use the KSB applications from external PCs or from

private work centers.

To access the KSB Internet Application Portal, you must have a broadband Internet

connection.

When accessing from other continents, the long signal propagation delays can lead to

slow response times, although this does not affect the application's functional

capabilities.

1.2 Conditions of Use

The KSB Internet Application Portal and the tokens may only be used for work-related

purposes.

All IDs and tokens at KSB are unique and restricted to individual personnel. It is not

permitted to share the use of IDs or tokens with other users. It is forbidden to pass IDs

and tokens on to third parties.

All passwords are personal. They must be kept confidential and may not be disclosed to

third parties.

In the event of misuse, operational disruptions and/or process malfunctions resulting

from improper use of the system, the central IT department of KSB AG (Germany) is

entitled to inform the HR department responsible and, if necessary, the Works Council.

In the event of abuse of these conditions of use, KSB AG (Germany) is entitled to revoke

the user's permission to use the Portal.

2. Preconditions

2.1 Installed Clients

The KSB CTX Farm applications themselves do not need to be installed on your PC in

order to use them.

Citrix Online Plug-in (Web) from Citrix Systems, Inc. serves as the interface. This client

software also controls the functions that are needed when using printers.

All Microsoft Operating Systems starting from Windows 7 and upwards are supported.

The defined standard client versions of KSB AG, can be downloaded from the webpage

http://applicationportal.intern.ksb.com. There you will also find the installation

instructions for the client.

Usually these software products are installed by your local IT department.

2.2 Company Networks

Even if you work behind a firewall in a company network, it should be possible to use the

KSB Internet Application Portal without any special configuration.

All data traffic is transmitted via HTTP (port 80) and HTTPS (port 443). This is normally

available in every network.

3. Starting Applications

3.1 General

To access the KSB Internet Application Portal, you need a fully functioning broadband

Internet connection. For the following steps, we assume that such an Internet connection

has been established and is working properly.

3.2 Log on to the Portal

(1) Open your Internet Explorer and

navigate to this page: http://applicationportal.ksb.com

On this Web page, you will find up-to-date information, a software and

documentation download area, as well as a link to the input page for your

access data.

(2) Left-click the link "Click here to log in".

(3) Enter your central EMEA Windows account as your access ID ("User-

name"), as well as the corresponding password ("Password") and the token

pass code ("PASSCODE").

User name: IT key (e.g. chriale)

Password: EMEA KSB domain password

PASSCODE: Personal token password (PIN, 4–8 figures)

and token code (6 numbers on token display).

The Token authentication is exposed until fall 2016 out of technical reasons. Until the

authentication is fully implemented again, you can access KSB Citrix Farm by your

Windows – EMEA Account information (username and password).

3.3 Starting Applications

(4) After clicking on “APPS” you can see a list of all your Citrix applications. By

clicking on one of the application icon´s, you start the application.

(5) By clicking “Details” and “Add to favorites” you can add frequent used

applications to the Startpage.

3.4 Drive Concept

If you are working with the KSB CTX Farm, the following drives are available:

Initially there are your local drives (for example C:\)

O: R: T: und U: are the usual drives for central file storage (Groupshares, Departments,

Projects, Users).

P: is the local programs drive for the KSB CTX Farm.

4. Printing

Printing on the KSB CTX Farm

All printers that are available locally on your PC or notebook are provided automatically

in the KSB CTX Farm. This function is provided by the Citrix client software.

There is no special management of printers under Citrix environment.

Your PC´s default printer is automatically configured as default printer during the Citrix

session.

The name of the printer within

the Citrix session is the same as

on your PC. As additional

Information the Name of the PC

(here DEFTCN00060) and the

Session number (2) is attached

to the Printer name.

If you wish to access the printer

settings, only the settings of the Citrix

universal printer driver are initially

displayed. In a second step, however,

you have full access to all settings for

the actual printer driver in question by

navigating to "Local settings".

5. Annex

5.1 How to Obtain Support in the Event of Problems

In case you have any questions or problems regarding the KSB Citrix Farm or KSB Citrix

applications, please do not hesitate to call the KSB IT-Servicedesk (+49 (6233) 86 -

3500).

Please do not send mails to certain persons, because there are many reasons like

vacation, illness, training, and so on, why your concern could not be processed. The IT -

Servicedesk is always the fastest way to get assistance.

The KSB Service Desk provides its service in English, German and French, and it can be

reached by phone from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. CET until 6 p.m. CET.

*All times are given as the time at the location of KSB AG (Germany).

Converting the times for other KSB locations around the world can vary due to daylight saving time and time zone changes.

At any other time, you will be able to record your query as a message on a telephone

answering machine.

Alternatively, you can submit a written report of your

incident in the KSB IT Service Portal.

You will find the KSB IT Service Portal on the central KSB

intranet under "KSB platforms".

The tasks performed by the KSB AG IT department are management, strategic planning

and system responsibility. The actual operation and troubleshooting activities are

outsourced to various IT service providers.

Please be aware that employees from the companies Hewlett Packard (HP) or Atos might

contact you to solve your problem.

5.2 5.2 How to Access the KSB Application Portal

To access the KSB Internet Application Portal, you require the following:

(a) A KSB EMEA Windows account

(b) The assignment of program icons in the KSB CTX Farm.

As an employee of KSB, you request these services via the KSB IT Service Portal on the

KSB intranet or using your key user.

External users, for example, those at service providers, gain access via the contact

person responsible at KSB.

5.3 Which applications are available via the KSB Application Portal?

A list of all applications available in the Citrix Farm can be found in the KSB intranet.

5.4 What Costs incur for using the KSB Citrix Portal?

A monthly charge rate is incurred in internal clearing for providing the EMEA Windows

account and the assigned program icons in the KSB CTX Farm.

These items can also be used in other application scenarios though.

The charge rates are published on the KSB intranet.

5.5 Changing of your Windows or Citrix Password.

You have to change your Windows Password in regular intervals at the EMEA Domain. 14

days before your account would be disabled, you will be reminded at each log in to

change your log in password.

Please take the document “Windows Password Requirements at KSB” into consideration

when choosing your new Password. This document can be found in the KSB intranet.

In case you experience any problems with the KSB Citrix Farm after changing your

password, please contact the IT-Servicedesk.

5.6 Installation of Citrix Client Software

The actual version of the Citrix Client Software is called:

“Citrix Receiver”. Please check from time to time if there

are any updates for this Software on this webpage:

http://applicationportal.intern.ksb.com.
