This late-summer tour celebrates the baroque palace theatres of Sweden’s capital. Our first performance is Mozart’s Così fan tutte at the Drottningholm Court Theatre, one of the few which still uses its original stage machinery. We then attend Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice, performed by candlelight at Sweden’s oldest Rococo theatre, the Ulriksdal Palace Theatre Confidencen, and with historically informed costume and stage design. Join us for a unique insight into theatre of the 18th-century!

The Dalhalla Opera Festival is staged in a former limestone quarry in the lakelands of Dalarna, and this year provides the spectacular backdrop for a concert version of Delibes’ Lakmé, which of course includes the world-famous Flower Duet.
