Week 5 Unit 5: Data Segmentation (Part 2)

1 Purpose The purpose of this document is to guide the participants of the “Driving Business Results with Big Data” openSAP course through the system exercise. This user guide is designed to be used together with the openSAP instructional videos. Do NOT attempt to execute exercise without watching the videos first.

2 Preparation

2.1 Prerequisites The prerequisites to this exercise are that the course participants have valid Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SAP Cloud Appliance Library (CAL) accounts.

In case you do not have yet a valid account AWS or SAP CAL, you will find all steps needed for that on this page.

2.2 Links and system access information

All the log on and system information listed here is applicable to each participants’ own SAP CAL instance. The links are to be used on the Remote Desktop. These links will work only if you have your SAP CAL Instance activated.

For the Front-end Remote Desktop Connection use the IP address generated for the “Predictive Analytics RDS Frontend Internal IP Address” within your individual instance.

During this exercise you need to access SAP hybrisMarketing back-end system using the standard SAP Gui from the Remote Desktop:

Double-click on the line highlighted in the image and logon to the backend system.

Customize the hybrisMarketing Segmentation in the backend system

This screens seen in this guide might be slightly different from those visible in the course videos and the actual training system.

3.1 Configure Audience Discovery & Targeting (ADT) on the back-end server

1. Logon SAP Customer Engagement Intelligence backend using SAP GUI

User ID: BPINST Password: Welcome1

2. Type in SPRO in the t-code text box

3. Click on SAP reference IMG

4. Expand SAP Customer Engagement Intelligence Audience Discovery and Targeting Segmentation and click on Define Aliases for SAP HANA Data Sources




5. Click on New Entries

6. Name Data Source Alias as ZDSEXAMPLE and Data Source(the attribute view that was created earlier) location as zceidemo/ZCEIDEMOVIEW hit Save Please note this is case sensitive

7. It may prompt to save the customizing request. Please hit enter

8. Now the new entry will be visible in Customizing screen. Now go back to Customizing screen shown in step 66

9. Select Define Segmentation Objects

10. Click on “New Entries” in order to define a new segmentation object




11. Define the entries as below Segmentation Object : Z_S0_DEMO Consumer Class: CL_CUAN_ERP_CUST_SEGMENTATION Description: Demo Segmentation Hit Save on the top. It may prompt to save the customizing request Please hit enter Now the new entry will be visible in Customizing screen. Now go back to Customizing screen shown in step 66

12. Select “Assign SAP HANA Data Sources to Segmentation Objects”

13. Click on “New Entries”




14. Define entries as shown below Segmentation Object: Z_S0_DEMO Data Source Alias: ZDSEXAMPLE Sequence:10 Hit Save on the top It may prompt to save the customizing request. Please hit enter Now the new entry will be visible in Customizing screen. Now go back to Customizing screen shown in step 66

15. Select “Define Segmentation Object Key Fields”

16. Click “New Entries”




17. Define entries as shown below: Segmentation Object: Z_S0_DEMO Segmentation Object Key Field: CUSTOMER_ID Object Key Field Data Type : NVARCHAR Key Length:10 Hit Save on the top It may prompt to save the customizing request. Please hit enter Now the new entry will be visible in Customizing screen. Now go back to Customizing screen shown in step 66

18. Select “Assign Segmentation Attributes to Object Key Fields”

19. Go to your Segmentation Object row i.e. Z_S0_DEMO and add Attribute Name: CUSTOMER_ID

20. Hit Save on the top. It may prompt to save customizing request. Please hit enter.




21. Select “Define Segmentation Profiles”

22. Click “New Entries”

23. Define entries as shown below Segmentation Profile: Z_SP_DEMO Segmentation Object: Z_S0_DEMO Population Data Source Alias: ZDSEXAMPLE Description: Segmentation Demo

24. Hit Save on the top. It may prompt to save customizing request. Please hit enter
