1. - GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The containers described in this specification are designed for the transport of bulk cargo by truck, rail road

or ship. It can be handled by spreader and fork lift truck.

2. – HEALTH & SAFETY and QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Equimodal, as a certified company, will follow the latest standard requirement according to:

3. - DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

5. – INSPECTION AND APPROVAL

The final design will be approved by the client and an International Classification Society.

The containers will be individually inspected by the same International Classification Society.

Volume approx.: 24,5 m3

M.G.W.: 33.000 kg.

Tare Weight (aprox): 2.850 kg.

Stacking Capacity (1+2): 66.000 kg.

Racking Capacity: 50 kN

6.- CONSTRUCTION

6.1 Base Frame:

The base frame is built in carbon steel, and it consists in two longitudinal rails, 4 mm thick, joined by tube

120x60x3 transverse members, conveniently spaced to give adequate strength.

The longitudinal rails will have an angled face 50 mm above the floor level, to easy sliding of the powder

products during unloading process.

Two reinforced forklift pockets according to ISO spaced 2.050 mm.

6.2 End Frame:

2 corner posts carbon steel of tube 150x50x5.

Top Rail: Structural tube 140x100x4

Bottom Rail: Structural tube 120x60x4

4 mm flat steel panels continuously welded.

2.444 x 1.552 discharge hatch made of tube section profiles frame, including the following hot dip galvanised

items:

4 weld-on 30 mm special hinges. Around the hinges contact areas on the door, there will be sealed with

elastic and adhesive sealant (where not welded), to prevent corrosion between unpainted areas.

'J' shape door rubber seal. Inner lip cut over top locking bar.

2 independent anti-racking locking bars (all items hot dip galvanised).

Same operating direction for both locking bars.

2 hand steel hand rails on top of each locking bar.

No lateral opening.

6.3 Closed Frame:

2 corner posts carbon steel of closed section. 5 mm thick

Top Rail: Structural tube 100x80x5

Bottom Rail: Structural tube 120x60x4 plus 60x60x4

External rectangular tube reinforcements.

6.4 Side:

4 mm flat steel panels continuously welded

External rectangular tube reinforcements.

6.5 Roof:

No roof.

6.6 Floor:

4 mm abrasion resistant steel (Hardox 450 type) continuously welded.

7.- PRESERVATION

Once the structure is fully welded, it is externally shot blasted to S.I.S. 05 5900 Class 2.5, to eliminate any

scale or rust on its entire surface. Immediately after shot blasting, the steel structure is preserved with the

following painting procedure.

External painting procedure: C3M according to ISO 12944

Internal painting procedure: None

Rev. 1: External Colour: To be defined by customer.

Rev. 1: Logo Colour: [Logo to be defined by customer and quoted].

8.- WARRANTY

The containers are guaranteed during one year against any defect of production.

The paint system applied on the surface of the container is guaranteed against corrosion and/or painting

failure for a period of three (3) years.

The warranty is applied to all kinds of faults or failures affecting more than 10% of the painted surface

according to RE-3 and partial or total repainting is assured for the container(s) at manufacturer's expense.

Normal wear/tear, or corrosion caused by acid, alkaline solution or result from damage by abrasion impact

or accident are excluded.

Any damages caused by mishandling, missecuring, misloading, impact and other natures of accident are

excluded.
