SCHOOL EVENTS (Virtually)
ART & CRAFT ACTIVITY (30.04.2020)
Arts and crafts describes a wide variety of activities involving making things with one's own hands. Arts and crafts is
usually a hobby. Some crafts (art skills) have been practised since prehistoric times, others are more recent inventions.
Children in schools may learn skills such as woodworking, wood carving, sewing, or making things with all sorts of
material.
The students of OPJST had created many wonderful crafts by showing “Education is foundation for better future”.
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY (05.06.2020)
The theme for World Environment Day 2020 is, 'Time for Nature,' with a focus on its role in providing the essential
infrastructure that supports life on Earth and human development. ... COP 15 was expected to take place in
October 2020, but will be rescheduled for 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Let’s take a moment to step outside, breath and appreciate the gifts our environment provides every day.
Likewise, our creative students of OPJST had appreciated the environment by plantation, drawing and painting
activity.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (21.06.2020)
Yoga is an invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint
and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise
but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating
consciousness, it can help in well being. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.
The students of OPJST had created videos/images on yoga day showing different forms of yoga.
CHANDRASHEKHAR AZAD AND LOKMANYA TILAK BIRTH ANNIVERSARY (23.07.2020)
Our students during this COVID-19 lockdown period hailed Chandrashekhar Azad and Likmanya Tilak for their
courage and igniting the spark of patriotism in the heart of Indians. Our students paid tribute to the freedom fighters on
their birth anniversary by performing a song which describe their personality and also writing some slogans.
FOUNDERS DAY (07.08.2020)
On the occasion of founders day ….Our beloved Babuji birthday, Students of OPJST have performed dance by paying
tribute to Babuji and showing their immense love and respect for our beloved Babuji.
TEACHER'S DAY(05.09.2020)
Nothing can stop us or deter us! With this belief the O. P. JINDAL SCHOOL, NSPL, TARAIMAL. conducting the
Teacher's Day Celebrations online on 5th September 2020. The event was conducted with equal zest, fervour and
enthusiasm by the students to make it a truly memorable and special day for their respected teachers.
The programme which included a Guru Vandana, standup comedy, songs and dances mesmerised the audience. Some
interesting games were also conducted for the teachers. It was attended by all teachers of the Senior Wing and non-
teaching staff. It was evident from the programme that nothing could dampen the spirits of the students who enthralled
everyone with their energetic performance.
WORLD FIRST AID DAY (14.09.2020)
First aid day is celebrated online at our School on 14th September to raise awareness of how first aid can save
lives in everyday and crisis situations. A fantastic way to celebrate World First Aid Day is teaching children basic medical skills though a series of interactive activities. Whilst raising awareness of the event, this is also important for everyday life, as children could face life-threatening situations.
WORLD OZONE DAY(16.09.2020)
World Ozone Day was celebrated at our School on 16th
September, 2020. It was organized to create awareness among
students about the depletion of Ozone layer and its impact on organisms that exist on earth.
Various competitions were conducted for Std. VI - X. The students of Std.VI and VII pondered on the topic and
presented the Causes and Effects of Ozone Depletion through Poster Making and Collage Craft.
The students of Std. VIII contributed by penning down slogans on the 'Protection of the Ozone Layer'. To mark the
day, the students exhibited their posters, collage and the slogans on the display board. Special Prizes were given away
to the best entries on the basis of creativity.
BHAGAT SINGH ANNIVERSARY (28.09.20)
On this day , teachers planned for the online activities. Teachers asked the student to draw a portrait of Bhagat Singh
and told to write about his life history in 10 - 20 lines. Students participated in these online activities enthusiastically
and enjoyed a lot. With this they got aware about Bhagat Singh and his contributions.
GRAND PARENTS DAY CELEBRATION (01.10.2020)
On 1st October. 2020 Our School, celebrated Grandparents’ Day to honour and express gratitude towards
grandparents for their constant love, care, guidance and support. Many E- greeting card was prepared by teachers and
shared to students group for their grandparents.
MAHATMA GANDHI JAYANTI ( 02.10.2020)
On this Day students of different classes dressed up as Gandhi ji and told about his life history. They also told many
slogans related to freedom. The seniors students gave a speech on Gandhi ji positive attitude towards achievement of
goal on a very fair way i.e by using truth and non violence.
WORLD POSTAL DAY (09.10.2020)
For this day, teacher asked the students to prepare a AV presentation on the latest facilities given by postal department.
Students further made audio – visual speech for the above and sent it online to the teacher. Main purpose of this
activities was to create awareness about the importance of facilities given by postal department among the student.
GLOBAL HAND WASH DAY(15.10.2020)
The COVID-19 pandemic provides an important reminder that one of the most effective ways to stop the spread of
germs and stay healthy by hand washing with soap and water. All the students of OPJST made a video by washing
their hands to keep themselves safe and healthy. By this activity they reminded everyone that many germs that can
make people sick are spread when we don’t wash our hands with soap and clean running water.
CHHATTISGARH FOUNDATION DAY(01.11.2020)
OPJS taraimal celebrated this day with full enthusiasm as the students danced, sang in proper chattisgarhi costume
virtually. They also told about many achievements and developments done in CG in Hindi as well as in English.
VIBGYOR DAY (06/11/2020)
To give the students knowledge about the rainbow, its colours and significance a virtual drama was prepared by the
students.
CHILDREN’S DAY(14.11.2020)
On this day, teachers prepared many activities for the children such as one act play, dance, song etc. teachers tried to
replicate the activities virtually. It was a vibrant experience for all the teachers and students. It was definitely not the
same as regular celebrations but the teachers went off their way to use technology do their best in the times of
pandemic. All the students enjoyed the activities thrown by teachers a lot.
WORLD AIDS DAY (01/12/2020)
Tospread the awareness about AIDS among the common people a PPT was prepared by the student of class VII. it was
clarified in the PPT that a person with HIV AIDS can survive in the society under strict medical care and it is the
responsibility of all of us to take care of the patient and not to isolate him or her.
WORLD DISABLED DAY (03/12/2020)
To make the students know that, the physically disabled person also have many abilities. They also have their special
category of school, where they are developing their skills and are successful in various fields in the society .A video
was prepared by the students where many successful disabled persons work was shown.
HUMAN RIGHTS DAY (10.12.2020)
To create awareness about the Human Rights, students were asked to prepare a speech on it.They stressed on the
responsibilities of the citizens which ensure to enjoy the human rights in its real sens.
CHRISTMAS DAY CELEBRATION (22.12.2020)
The Christmas day was celebrated virtually with students and teachers with lots of fun and enjoyment. The students
danced by wearing beautiful dresses and red caps with decorated Christmas tree and remembering Jesus Christ which
shows that family and friends come together and remember the good things they have. They had many sweets and gifts
also which shows that it’s the time when you give and receive presents.
ACHIVEMENT 2020-2021
Our school is affiliated up to senior secondary level (CBSE Board) .
Our Student Nitya Srivastava of Class 7 has won the silver medal in International
Mathematics Olympiad)
Our Student Binayak Panigrahi has participated in National Level Digital ART FEST.
MAKAR SANKRANTI (14.01.2021)
Makar Sankranti is celebrated on 14 th January every year and marks the termination of the winter season and the
beginning of new season. It is dedicated to lord sun. On this occasion students were asked to make sun, kites, bonfires
and to send their pictures to the class teachers. Students also expressed their views, its significance about this festival
by making their videos.
SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE JAYANTI & FLAG DAY (23.01.2021)
Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti is observed on 23rd
January every year. The students prepared speech (English and
Hindi) on Subhash Chandra Bose life history they also spoke quotes told by netaji. By this activity they come to know
that their should be patriotism in the heart of every Indian.
REPUBLIC DAY (26.01.2021)
OPJS TARAIMAL celebrated Republic day virtually with great honour . The students gave speech on:
1. Constitution of INDIA
2. Democracy etc..
Through this activity the students come to know about the democracy and rights and constitution of India and
more things about our country.
SARASWATI PUJA ( 16.02.2021)
This year saraswati puja was observed on 16th
February. The shloka related to Goddess saraswati were recited by the
students.
WOMEN’S DAY (08.03.2021)
International Women’s Day is celebrated on 8th
of March every year. This day was celebrated joyfully as the male
teachers arranged the whole program for the female teachers and also organized some games which was really
refreshed everyone.
Shri Naveen Jindal ji Birthday ( 09.03.2021)
We Celebrated the 51st Birthday of Mr. Naveen Jindal Ji, Chairman of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) and prayed for
his welfare and long life. This year also the Birthday of Naveen Jindal Ji was celebrated as Fitness Day and to
commemorate this day as one of the memorable days for one and all, the OPJS,Taraimal staff along with Principal had
lined up a series of programmes to raise awareness about physical wellness among all. Plantation was being done by
the teachers and students in our school premises. Further we proceeded to Banjari temple and distributed masks to the
needy people and prayed for his good health and long life.
Virtual Art Gallery Exhibition (26.03.2021)
The OPJS TARAIMAL organized Virtual art gallery exhibition on which the students asks to prepare wall hanging,
kites, fish, cartoons, etc. by using waste material.
