Welcome,On behalf of the sale committee and consigners, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 Ontario Shorthorn Association Fall Classic Sale. Once again this year the consigners have dug right into the heart of their herds to bring this great offering of cattle to the sale.

There is something for everyone in this sale offering. A great selection of heifer calves, whether you are looking for a future junior project or to add replacements to your herd. The bred heifers and cows will fi t into most any herd. There is also a future herd sire prospect, which is worth taking a good look at.

The Matchless family has been a great addition to the BJH herd and I decided to offer this one for another person to experience the same results I have had! This year we had our fi rst set of Rockstar calves and wow did they not disappoint! This is the only heifer we had off him but with more bred to him for this winter we hope to get another one to replace this powerhouse that we really should be keeping. Her dam is a big cow from Carmen Kyle that brings in one of the best calves year after year while looking like a supermodel.

If you like older genetics take a good look here! Super Flag did a great job in the 70’s so we thought, why not try him again. Her dam is a moderate sized True Blue cow that came as a calf with the Roandale herd from PEI. She is doing a great job once again this year. This pretty, red roan, front pasture female was bred April 7 to Shadybrook Perfection 35S who is doing a great job in our herd through A.I. His dam is none other than the renowned Shadybrook Perfection 201M! Checked safe to A.I. Exposed May 15-August 3 to Hill Haven Liberty 24B, she will be preg checked by sale day.

This youthful fi ve year old is a daughter of Miranda Rose 6J, one of the foundation cows I started my herd with in 2006. She has daughters in my herd including a heifer this year by Uluru Ruffi an which looks like a keeper. She is also the grand-dam of the red roan calf lot 127, offered here in the sale. We prefer to calve our cows in Jan/Feb so since she is always a little later we are making her available. Once again she has been exposed to the Ruffi an bull, a roan from an exceptional Muridale Buster daughter in Bob Riviere’s herd. Take her home and look for a March calf. Exposed May 23rd-July 18th. I should likely be keeping this one to help expand my numbers. But since her dam is bred the same way just due a couple weeks sooner next January I will let her go. Her dam is a True Blue out of one of Horseshoe Creeks original donor cows 98H. The Touchdown’s have developed into great hardworking cows with fl awless udders.
