There are so many things to love about fall — from A to Z let’s explore them all! Autumn brings us an abundance of Acorns and Apples, along with Bushel Baskets of nature’s Bounty. Veterans Day at Mt. Carmel

Veterans Day will be observed on November 11 allowing us to honor our country’s veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces. Throughout the day we will be recognizing our Mt. Carmel veterans. If you or your spouse served our country in the military, we would love to recognize you on the Veterans Day Morning Show. We invite you to call the Activity Line at 2009 to leave your name. We will set up a time to visit with you in person about your military service, and share your story with our Mt. Carmel family on Veterans Day.

Scavenger Hunt Week

We’re introducing Scavenger Picture Bingo on the 3rd and 5th this month. To play, pick up your game card at the front desk. Search for the pictures on your card throughout our common areas. Find and circle 5 in row for $5 in Bingo Bucks or find and circle all of them for $10 in Bingo Bucks! On Friday, join our Turkey Hunt and snag a Bingo Buck for every turkey you find!

Activity Updates In the event that we should need to cancel a group game, our Activity Cart will visit your room with snacks and word puzzles. For those in quarantine, goodie bags will be brought to you by our Care Department, along with $10 in Bingo Bucks to use at our store. If you are unable to leave your room on Bingo Store day, call 2009 to request your items and they will be brought to you on shopping day.

Holiday Celebrations

On Wednesday, November 25 we will enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Feast of turkey and dressing with all the trimmings! On Thanksgiving Day, tune in to Mt. Carmel Channel 50 for our annual holiday showing of Miracle on 34th Street. As a special treat, you can pick up a word search puzzle based on the movie at the Activity Table.

A Friendly Reminder

Be sure to FALL BACK on Saturday, October 31 by turning your clocks back one hour before going to bed.
