Love is the extremely difficult realisation that something other than oneself is real

It has been two long days since Anderson last saw Angelina. He was wondering what has

happened to her. He heard that she had a painful break up, but then, that was not the first. He

wanted to call her but he thought that it was time for her to be alone. Oh, Angelina, why do

you always end up hurting yourself. The only thing I always wish for is a smile on your smile.

Thats it! Im not going to wait any longer. Im going to her place, all these thoughts ran in his

miserable mind. He took his car keys from the key holder, entered his car, and started driving

as fast as possible to Angelinas place.

As he looked through the window, she was sitting on a couch holding her favourite

minion plush doll. And there was all kinds of snacks on the table and tissue papers scattered

all on the floor. Wow! She looked terrible. Without thinking any further, he barged into her living

room. Stop it Angelina! Get yourself together!. And she replied, Anderson, dont make that

I-told-you-so face! Its annoying! . Oh, so now my face is annoying. Well done Angelina, you

just broke my heart! Anderson replied almost shouting.

All of a sudden, she started whimpering. Anderson just went near her and sat beside

her as her kindly placed his arms around her. She relaxed in his shoulders. I thought Choos

the one but he wasnt. He cheated on me. How could he do that to me?. He listened

thoughtfully to her every word. Only if she could understand Andersons true feelings. He could

make her life merrier.

After she poured her heart out to him, he decided to bring her to her favourite places.

For starters, they went to mamaks stall nearby. Even though she claimed to be fine, but he

can still see the devastation and sorrow in her brown eyes. He tried to bring her to the places

she has always loved. They went window shopping, watched movie, get their nails done and

finally he brought her to a karaoke place. He could she her sorrowful brown eyes lightening

up. They sang and sang to their heart content. She was getting back to her normal self. The

smile on her face made his day. Hours of singing resulted in exhaustion and hunger. Theres

a barbeque place nearby. Lets have our dinner there, Anderson talked first. Oh! I would love

that, she replied with a broad smile. They walked towards the place, holding hands, in a

friendly manner, of course. Food always makes people happy. It makes his Angelina happy.

More than happy actually.

They waited in the front entrance of the restaurant to be seated. The attendant asked,

Just one?. What? No two, table for two please, she replied wondering how the attendant

missed a brown-eyed, dark-haired figure standing right beside her. The attendant gave them

a funny look which, Angelina ignored. He guided them to their table. The table was square

and had a little electrical stove in the middle. Angeline ordered some food for the both of them.

They talked and talked as if they were the only one in the restaurant. She cant help but noticed

the weird glance people around giving her. But again she decided to ignore them.

I love you, Angelina. But please dont be dependent on anyone, said Anderson out

of the blue. Duh! I can always count on you, there was a trace of happiness in her voice. As

he was about to reply, she had an urge to go to the rest room. She got up abruptly and paced

towards the rest room which was a few steps away from their table. She totally ignored the

fact that her best friend was about to say something really important. But cant blame her for

that. Few moments passed. She stepped out of the rest room feeling relaxed as ever. She

walked slowly towards her table. As she was getting near the table, she realised that, the

figure sitting in the chair in front of her wasnt brown-eyed and dark-haired, instead, it was

pitch black-eyed and hazel brown-haired with fluorescent orange highlights. It was Choo.

She felt irritated so she hurried towards the front door. But Choos hands got to her

first. Please let me talk to you. Just ten minutes, he pleaded. Without having any other

obvious options, she took her seat and rolling her eyes, she placed her right hand under her

chin and looked towards his undeniably charming face. She curved her right eye brows to

indicate that he should be starting to talk right now. I never thought this would happen. I dont

know how you are handling this. I know that he was pretty close to you. Who would have

thought that accidents like this would happen? those are the words that came out of Choos

mouth. Angelina was in a dilemma. She could not understand a word Choos telling. What

happened to who? she asked Choo.

She got a feeling that she wasnt ready to listen to what Choos was about to say. I

know you had two heart breaking incidents happened on the same day. What two things?

Accident? Can you please stop being mysterious. Spill it out already! she sounded angry as

she cant really get hold on things. The next words came out of Choos mouth made her head

spun and world crumble into pieces. She started talking as soon as she calmed herself up,

Anderson is dead? Thats absurd! I spent the whole day with him. I was even eating dinner

with him right here in this restaurant. He must be around here somewhere,. Her voice was

shaky. Her eyes ran around the restaurant with a hope to find Anderson. Understanding her

pain of losing someone important he said, You cant find him, my dear. Hes gone.

Angelina felt unconscious on the floor right after the last word from Choo. He caught

her in the mid air. Her mind went pitch black and the thoughts in her mind was, Only if we had

more time? Only if I had realised his importance sooner? Only if I had realised his love sooner?

Only if.
