discussed in the Library Committee meeting and

online purchasing site Flipkart.com was approved

by the library committee of Shree Mahila Arts &

Commerce College, Junagadh (Gujarat).

APPROVAL FOR PURCHASEAfter Approval of the college library committee, the first orders of books were placed to Flipkart.com and the books were supplied with 3-5 days at Shree Mahila Arts & Commerce College Library.

PROCESS OF PURCHASE Online purchasing process mention below; The College Library account was created with

Flipkart.com for online purchase. After that Search were performed for

requirement of library. After search required titles were added to cart

shop for the delivery. A list of books was generated by Librarian and

ordered were placed to Flipkart.com for the college library users.

Filled up the College address and other necessary details.

A code number was sent by Flipkart.com to us. Code numbers were mentioned in the form also. Confirmation of order sent to us with delivery

status on the spot.

Flipkart.com website is an exciting new way of buying online books by which libraries can improve its services and provide better service to their users. In future, it is possible that in the percentage of online books purchasing would go high.
