times as desired; is not to be considered representative of an
actual test; is available via computer desktop once INSIGHT is
installed; is accessed through INSIGHT; and is available for by
grade span for both mathematics and ELA. Louisiana Believes

Practice Tests
In order to provide an authentic practice for test coordinators,
administrators, and students, administration of the online practice
tests includes a number of steps that are also required for the
operational assessments. Step 1 District test coordinators add
technology coordinators and school test coordinators to Practice
eDIRECT, the online assessment management portal. Step 2 Technology
coordinators install and configure the Testing Site Manager (TSM)
and INSIGHT order to prepare for the online assessment. Step 3
Teachers and students use the Online Tools Training (OTT) to engage
in the online assessment platform. Step 4 Districts or schools
upload rosters of students that will be participating in the online
practice tests. Step 5 Test coordinators enter accessibility and
accommodations for students utilizing Spanish, large print, or
text-to-speech. Step 6 Test coordinators create test sessions,
print test tickets, and distribute the test tickets to teachers in
order to create and provide login information to each student. Step
7 Teachers administer the online practice test using the directions
provided in the guide. Students engage in the online practice test.
Step 8 Teachers may complete the optional review and scoring of the

Online practice tests provide students with the opportunity to
engage in the online assessment system using test questions that
are representative of the actual operational assessment, including
technology-enhanced questions. Louisiana Believes Using the
Practice Tests
Teachers may use the online practice tests strictly as a practice
tool for students with the testing platform, or they may review and
score responses to the online test questions to assess student
learning. If a teacher does wish to review and score student
responses, a number of action steps marked as optional in the
directions below will need to occur. Louisiana Believes Agenda
