FOREWORD

Les Clark & Sons have operated as drainage contractors for many years and are well

respected within the locality. Following the sudden sad death of Mr Peter Clark, Angela Clark

has instructed us to conduct a dispersal on her behalf.

The sale could not be more genuine, as everything has been well maintained over the years

& sold without reserve, a lot of machines have been in the fleet many years and some

owned from new.

All items are subject to Value Added Tax at 20% unless where announced.

BUYERS BIDDING NUMBER

Prospective purchasers are required to register for a bidding number specific to this sale

before placing bids.

BUYERS PREMIUM

Buyers Premium at 5% plus VAT will be added to hammer price of all items.

PAYMENT OF OUTSTANDING ACCOUNTS

Buyers must note that all accounts must be settled in full on the day of the sale.

All purchasers unknown to the Auctioneers and wishing to pay by cheque must make one of

the following arrangements prior to the sale day.

1) Arrange with your bank to bring a Guaranteed Cheque with you

2) A letter from your Bank stating the amount, up to which your cheque will be honoured,

letters must specify the sale and date, and must not be a photocopy or fax.

Cash payments will be accepted on the day. Please note only debit cards (NOT credit

cards) and cheques from known customers will be accepted.

TAKING AWAY OF GOODS

Purchasers may only take goods after the sale has ended and will only be released with a

PASSOUT. Items to be paid for in full before removing from the sale. All items purchased

must be removed by Friday 12th April at 4pm. Failure of purchasers to remove lots within the

given time frame will incur storage charges, payable on collection. Purchasers must note that all lots become their responsibility upon the fall of the hammer.

FACILITIES AT THE SALE

A catering trailer will be in attendance on Thursday 11th April from 12 NOON

LIABILITY

The vendor & Auctioneers will not accept any responsibility or liability for the loss or damage to lots

left on the sale ground and buyers are reminded that upon the fall of the hammer they are liable for

the purchased lot. Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that descriptions are accurate no

guarantees are either given or implied, machinery hours given are those recoded at the time of

cataloguing.

HEALTH & SAFETY

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that all plant machinery or equipment complies with the

Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 before such items are used at a place of work.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

All items will be sold under the Livestock Auctioneers Association conditions of Sale for Machinery &

Livestock. A copy can be obtained from Northallerton Auctions prior to the sale
