SALE NOTES

Geoffrey, Carolyn and Edward Mills, trading as GWM Farms, have farmed at Wantage Farm since 1967. The land is farmed in conjunction with two other farms at Holcot and Wellingborough.

The family have entered into an arable farming contract with a neighbouring farmer starting in the Autumn of 2021 whilst Edward will concentrate his time on his growing rape straw business, producing 20kg bales of rape straw for the Equestrian sector.

Geoffrey and Edward’s joint passion has been to collect Vintage Tractors, Crawlers and Farm Machinery since the 1960’s. Many of these are on sale today, with some of the items being exempt of VAT. The hours stated are those showing on the clocks but cannot be guaranteed on some of the older tractors.

SALE NOTES

Mrs Fielden is selling all the tools and workshop equipment used by her late husband, a director of Jaguar Cars and a skilled engineer. One of David’s major achievements in the workshop was a canon made on the lathe in this sale. It was a third-sized replica of a Blomfield canon used on HMS Victory, and it is still on display in the Royal Armouries Museum at Fort Nelson, Portsmouth.
