On Eagle’s Wings

A Prayer for

Comfort and Solace

On Eagle’s Wings Having spent my formative years in a Catholic school, On

Eagle’s Wings was one of my favourite hymns that we sang

during devotion. It is a prayer filled with hope and promise

that there is a higher being who will watch over us and

guide our every move.

With all the turmoil and challenges in the world today practicing

Christians need to be reminded that through our faith and trust –

we can count on the Lord to see us through, and his plans will be

more phenomenal than we ever imagined.

These words are so powerful, yet comforting and relevant for

today’s world, that there leaves so little for me to say so please

enjoy the words and the music of this beautiful hymn and

meditate on all the possibilities!

When things seem to be too

complicated to handle ,do we seek

solace from a Higher Being to guide

us through the “dark”?

Do we find comfort to obtain shelter

from a higher Supremacy, to guide us and get us on the right path

You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in his shadow for life, say to the Lord: "My refuge, my rock in whom I trust!"

Is our faith in the Lord strong enough,

to permit his infinite wisdom guide us

towards a path that is phenomenal and

better than we would have anticipated

for ourselves ,in order to realize our

fullest potentials and radiate like a

sunbeam knowing that we are protected and cared for in his love.

And he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.

“Let go and let God” – he will always

watch over you and protect you.

He will ensure that we never truly

want

God does not abandon us when we

come to him in earnest and our

actions thereafter are in the honour and Glory of his name!

The snare of the fowler will never capture you, and famine will bring you no fear: under his wings your refuge, his faithfulness your shield.

In life our guardian angels appear

in all shapes and forms. When we

least expect it there are those

who come into our lives and

provide the comfort and support

when we fall down and give us

shelter from the “cold”.

For to his angels he's given a command to guard you in all of your ways; upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone

Soar like the Eagle and know that God is

right there beside you – he will not let

you fall – he will guide and protect you

and give you the courage and strength to

move forward as He gently holds us in the palm of his hand

And he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.

The Finale

The journey of being human is one of mental

and physical evolution. The challenge is to strike

that perfect balance to fulfill our destiny.

We were never promised a perfect world, but we

can strive to curb the imperfections and make

the best of what we have and through His

guidance and love we shall succeed! “make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.”
