COACHesDaniel Valdivia, Head Soccer CoachDaniel took over as head coach at Shasta College in 2012 and quickly turned the men’s soccer team into a playoff contending force. In his first two years coaching at Shasta College, the Knights equalled the

number of wins they had over the four-year period prior to his start. Daniel was named GVC Coach of the Year after only his second year as head coach at Shasta College, and again in his third year. Daniel completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Chico State and his Masters Degree in School Counseling from the University of La Verne.

Jesse Banda, Assistant Soccer CoachCoach Banda was born and raised in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He has been with Shasta College for two years.

Keith Stewart, Assistant Soccer CoachAssistant Coach Stewart was born and raised in Redding, California. He has been with Shasta College for four years.

Jason Kelly, Athletic CounselorJason Kelly has been with Shasta College since 2001, working specifically with athletes for over 10 years. He has enjoyed being a part of athletics as a college athlete, coach and

counselor. Jason has a B.A. degree from CSU, Sacramento and M.S. Degree from the University of La Verne.

FACiliTiesState of the Art Training FacilityIn the spring of 2015 Shasta College finished the installation of an entirely new training facility. Student-athletes now have a training facility with no barriers to success! Hammer Strength/Life Fitness is a pioneer in the field of strength and conditioning equipment. Our Hammer Strength/Life Fitness weight room is an efficient training space in which you have the tools to get bigger, faster, and stronger!

PlACeMeNTShasta College is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). We go to great lengths to ensure each student-athlete has every option available for transfer. Our sophomore list is sent annually to every 4-year school in the country. We also utilize electronic game film to expedite the recruiting process to your 4-year school. From DI to NAIA your information will be in the hands of every college.

Shasta College students have the opportunity to obtain an Associate in Arts degree or Associate in Science degree, as well Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT). Students who are awarded an ADT are guaranteed admission with junior standing in the California State University (CSU) system and given priority admission consideration to their local CSU campus.
