2Michela Varvaro playing the transverse flute with the Omnia premiere installation.

Chiesa della Misericordia, Venice, March 19, 2017.

Omnia“To amplify the acoustic experience by making visible what is

usually thought to be immaterial: sound.”

– Francesco Pellisari –

Omnia is an exclusive acoustic

art composition that premiered

during the “Acoustic Vision”

symposium at the Chiesa della

Misericordia

Venice, March 2017

4

Through this installation,

Francesco Pellisari transports

the listener to a higher plane of

musical appreciation by not

only projecting the natural

sound of music but visualizing

that projection in space.

5

The installation is composed

of 4 Omni Venice Reflection

acoustic sculptures. They

are custom-made versions

of the Omni ceramic sound

sculptures with a special

enamel glaze inspired by the

colours of Venice: red,

green, gold and copper.

6

7

The Omni are hung at different heights over a black

rectangular water basin (in metal) measuring

145x800cm and standing at about 35cm off the floor.

The depth of the basin is just 4cm, allowing for a very

thin layer of water to cover the black surface.

The basin can be precisely levelled on any surface,

thanks to a set of adjustable feet.

Under the water basin a set of

electric linear motors are fixed firmly

to the metal frame on specific nodal

points.

These motors, connected to an

electronic circuit, are able to

transform the acoustic waves into

vibrations that are visible on the

surface of the water.

8

This unique collector’s item can be installed at a

venue of your choice, creating a rich visual and

acoustic experience that saturates the environment

with memorable multisensory aesthetics.
