History of Red Ribbon WeekHistory of Red Ribbon Week

Many of you know what Red Ribbon Week is. BUT, do you know WHY we celebrate it every year?

To honor the life and legacy of Enrique “Kiki” Camerena, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Agent who was kidnapped, tortured, and murdered in Mexico in 1985.

Agent Camerena believed that one person could make a difference.

Agent Camerena made a difference in the lives of many people by preventing drug trafficking into the United States.

Even though you are not DEA Agents, you can still make a difference in the lives of those around you, and you can help make our school a better place.

Think of one action YOU can take this year to make a difference in our school.
