Click “Organizations”

Search or find your Campus Student Life Office’s page

Click “Documents”

Select the how-to-guide needed

Activating your SharkNet AccountStep 1: Go to sharknet.mdc.edu (no www is necessary!)

Step 2: Click on “Log In” from the top, right-hand corner

Step 3: Enter your Full MyMDC email address (ex:[email protected]) and password for that account.

Step 4: Enter your first and last names, Full MyMDC email address, and click “Update Profile”

CONGRATULATIONS! Your account is set upNext step: Browse around!

Registering your Student Organization

Step 1: From the SharkNet homepage, click on “Organizations” (top, center)

Step 2: Click “Register a New Organization” from the left hand column (yellow button)

Step 3: Click through the registration from and complete ALL sections.

IMPORTANT: Don’t forget to select the home campus for your organizations!

Creating an Event/Activity

Step 1: From the SharkNet homepage, click on “Organizations”

Step 2: Select your student organization

Step 3: Click on “Create Event” from the top, right-hand corner of the page

Step 4: Click through the event form and complete ALL sections

IMPORTANT: Your event is NOT confirmed until it has been approved by your Campus Office Student Life in SharkNet.

Uploading a DocumentStep 1: Go to your organization’s page & click on “Documents” from the left-hand column

Step 2: Click on “Upload” from the top, center of the page

Step 3: Upload your file, enter the document name, select the type and then click on “Submit Request” to save the file

*NOTE: Documents CANNOT be filled out. For this option, please create a form for your organization page.

Creating a Photo Gallery

Go to your organization & click on “Gallery” from left-hand column

Click “Create Album”

Enter an album name (ex: 2015 Club Rush), brief description, then click “Create Album” again

Upload photos files, then click “Save”

Creating a Form

Step 1: Go to your organization’s SharkNet page & click on the “Forms” tab Step 2: Click “Manage Forms” from the same section

Step 3: Click on “Create Form” from the top, center of the page

Step 4: Enter a name for your form, click on “Active”, then click “Save” and Add questions for the necessary fields.
