Olivet Presbyterian Church 1019 Richmond Avenue Staunton, VA 24401 The Rev. Dr. Harry Johns, Interim Pastor (540) 886-9353 olivetpres.org It has come time for me to say good-bye. I don’t know where the time has gone. I do know that I am very thankful for your continual love and support. When I first found out about my cancer, I could not have asked for a more supportive bunch of folks than you all. Your main concern was not about my getting the job done but about me as a person. I have never experienced such support from any of the congregations I have served and I cannot thank you enough. Your thoughts and prayers were the best medicine I got. The chemo was merely a supplement in the healing process. You have accomplished much in our time together. You did a thoughtful and creative Mission Study. You elected a wonderful PNC. And you called on Lee Thomas, an insightful minister, who is going to lead you into the future in a creative and exciting way. I am very confident that Olivet Church is going to grow and thrive in the years ahead. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have grown very close to you all and will miss being with you on a daily basis. As I leave you, I will take many fond memories of our time together. Thanks again! You all are the greatest! The Sunday School Department will again be participating in Operation

Fill your boxes with a variety of gifts that will bring delight to a child such as toys of a non-violent nature, school supplies, hygiene items that are not liquid, non-perishable candies, note pads, etc. Be sure to mark your box for a boy or girl.

Please donate $7.00 or more for each box you prepare to cover shipping. You are asked to have your shoe boxes turned in to the Sunday School by Sunday, November 11, 2012. Some shoe boxes are available in the office. For more information contact Wilma Balsley.
