This high spec controller allows 18 of our Resun 265-watt mono crystalline solar panels to be connected when using a 48-volt battery bank. That is a solar array size of 4770-wats = 4.77 Kilowatts. This still keeps the array size under all maximum parameters on the Midnite classic-150 controller. The panels are connected in 6 strings of 3 panels in each string. Each string will only carry between 8-9 Amps between the solar panels and the controller eliminating large power losses. The MPPT technology then converts the power to the correct battery voltage and has a maximum output battery charging current of 96 Amps. !
