I have played polo for the better part of my life and in my travels around the world I have met polo players and horse people from every equestrian discipline imaginable and from all walks of life. Whether they were fellow competitors, business moguls, film stars or members of a royal family, with every person I’ve met, one thing remains the same: the common ground and the bond that we share is our love for horses and the eques-trian lifestyle. Our world is comprised of like-minded people, who appreciate the beauty and excitement of competitive horsemanship, the personal relationships and camaraderie of the horse world and the ability to enjoy the finer things in life.I am excited to announce that I have recently joined forces with an incredible new development that embodies the very essence of this way of life: The Residences at Old Pueblo. Located in Houston, Texas, the Residences at Old Pueblo presents an opportunity to live, work and play on the legendary Old Pueblo ranch. Having played many important tournaments over the years at Old Pueblo, I can attest to the highest level of quality of the grounds, facilities and services as they exist today and have, for many years prior. Extraordinary attention to detail and consistency have been the benchmarks of Old Pueblo, and this has been carried over into the exciting new development, which has the comforts and amenities to satisfy both the young and the young at heart.

Our company, Gracida International, has embraced the opportunity to enhance the existing equestrian facilities and programs at The Residences at Old Pueblo, by adding our expertise to the two world-class polo fields, stables and state-of-the-art facilities currently on site. Our mission includes introducing new equine disciplines to Old Pueblo in the form of show jumping, dressage, eventing, western events and rodeo, in a way that compliments the natural beauty of the land and future home sites, as well as the exquisitely planned boutique hotel and spa.

Our team consists of long time associates and experts in their respective fields: Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson (who needs no introduction worldwide) and hospitality icon Michael C. Brown, whose expertise spans from lifestyle developments to private clubs and five-star hotels/resorts. We are excited about our role and working relationship with The Residences at Old Pueblo. Located in Austin County, on the beauti ful Brazos River, Old Pueblo rests at the hear t of where i t a l l began.

The history of Old Pueblo is as rich

as the soil beneath its rolling terr ain.. .

In 1824, as the original 300 settlers (famously known as “The Old 300”) put down their

roots in this very area of the Lone Star state, their leader, Stephen F. Austin (known as “The Father

of Texas”) saved a choice few pieces of the promised new land for himself. One of these included

a scenic spot along the Brazos River that would later become known as “Old Pueblo”.

Almost two centuries later, John Hall would lead his family to this fertile place. Named as a tribute to his former home

of Tucson, Arizona (historically referred to as “The Old Pueblo”), the ranch would become the backdrop for the Hall family to learn and play the sport of polo.

In time, the Halls created a spectacular facility. The two polo fields created by John Hall are considered to be among the finest in the country and are renowned throughout the polo world by amateur and professional

players alike. Jeff and J.W. Hall both became professional players and,at 8 goals, Jeff is recognized as one of the top American players.

JOHN M. HALLProfessional Biogr aphy

John Hall's professional career encompasses extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, as well as real estate construction and development. Most recently, he served as CEO of Dunhill Exploration and Production,

LLC, an independent developer, producer and operator of off-shore and on-shore oil and gas properties.

A selected highlight of Mr. Hall’s success in the oil and gas industry includes when, as CEO of Merit Energy Company, Mr. Hall negotiated over a billion dollars worth of purchase contracts on assets owned by six major

oil companies, including: Unocal, Chevron, Exxon, Mobil, Amoco and Elf Aquitaine. He and his partners subsequently combined the oil and gas reserves from these purchases with reserves of their own and sold them

to Torch Energy Advisors Inc., of Houston. Mr. Hall then worked as a consultant to help Torch facilitate its acquisition of all of Unocal’s remaining California assets at a purchase price of approximately $480 million.

Prior to 1990, Mr. Hall was primarily involved in real estate development and construction. Between 1985 and 1989, as a builder/developer, he completed four commercial office buildings and two hotels, ranging in value

from $3.5 million to over $30 million. From 1980 to 1984, he was the Western Region Vice President of the George A. Fuller Company, where he was responsible for negotiating major construction contracts, financing and corporate operations for 11 western states. Before that, he served as Executive Vice President of the Hilro

Construction Company in Tucson, Arizona.

Mr. Hall attended the University of Arizona. He is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970.
