GLASS GALLERYThe city that spread light through whale oil also became home to the Mt. Washington Glass Works, world renowned for its sumptuous art glass. In 1894, it merged with Pairpoint Manufacturing and they continued producing decorative glass and silver now highly sought by collectors. The Museum’s newly expanded glass gallery features the finest examples of New Bedford’s golden age of glass.
