The damages to homes, families and business were crushing. We have all seen the pictures of cars piled on top of each other, houses and businesses drowned in water, and the great volunteer efforts of our fellow Nashvillians. What we haven’t seen or heard much about are reports from Opry Mills. You may have read about the false reports of piranhas swimming free, but no facts. Opry Mills not only has hundreds of businesses affected and thousands of workers put out of work, but our sister school, The Academy at Opry Mills, is stationed there as well. No one quite knows the extent of the damage to The Academy at Opry Mills floods the school, but early predictions are not good. Mr. Saunders, the principal at The Academy at Opry Mills, has said that most items have been “ruined.” The A+ teacher, Mr. Wiley, told me that some items “might be salvageable.” As of right now, school for The Academy at Opry Mills will be taking place in the media center at McGavock High School. The staff at The Academy at Opry Mills appreciates McGavock’s efforts to assist the students so they can finish their graduation requirements. Graduation for The Academy at Opry Mills will be held at Bellshire Assembly of God - 1116 Darbytown Dr on May 26 at 10 AM. I was born in Nashville, TN. What is your favorite

food? My favorite food is spaghetti. What is your favorite

thing to do? My favorite thing to do is play with my daughter.

Do you have a hobby?

Yes. It is dancing, cheering, and also running track.

Tell us something interesting about

you. I am very loving. I have a beautiful personality and I’m always smiling. Also, I really love my daughter.

Please remember that graduation will be on Friday, May 21 at the Woodmont Hills Family of God Church. The ceremony will start promptly at 6 PM, but all graduates need to be there by 5 PM. There is much to do to set up for the ceremony and you do not want to be late. Make sure you are ready for graduation. Complete all your coursework in A+ and make sure you finish your classes with at least a passing grade. See the last page of this newsletter for directions to graduation.

Take Interstate 65 south through Nashville toward Huntsville. Exit on Harding Place (highway 255) and turn right. At the intersection of Harding Place and Franklin Pike (highway 31) turn right. Travel north 1.3 miles to 3710 Franklin Pike. The church building is located on the right side of the road.

Coming From the South on Interstate 65

Take Interstate 65 north toward Nashville. Exit south of downtown on Harding Place (highway 255) and turn left back across the inter-state. At the intersection of Hard-ing Place and Franklin Pike (high-way 31) turn right. Travel north 1.3 miles to 3710 Franklin Pike. The church building is located on the right side of the road.

Coming From the Southeast on Interstate 24 or From the East on Interstate 40

Take Interstate 24 or Interstate 40 to the I-440 interchange. Exit on I-440 toward Memphis. Exit from I-440 to Interstate 65 south toward Huntsville. Exit Interstate 65 at Harding Place (highway 255) and turn right. At the intersection of Harding Place and Franklin Pike (highway 31) turn right. Travel north 1.3 miles to 3710 Franklin Pike. Coming From the West on Interstate 40
