Utilizing a Site Survey to Facilitate the Installation of OKI Networked Products In order to assist you in your ability to sell and service OKI Networked Products, we have developed an IT (Information Technology) Site Survey for your use. It has been designed in an easy to use format that will allow you to fully evaluate your customers’ site and streamline your installation efforts. We highly recommend that you perform a site survey prior to the installation process so that you can be prepared before any on-site network connectivity takes place. We hope you find this document useful.
The site survey allows you to gather information such as:
Prospective Company Information – Correct contact information for the decision maker
IT Information Do they use in house IT resources or do they use out-sourced IT support. Do they have IT support?
Current Network Environment – Topography & cabling requirements, protocols, servers, DNS, LDAP, DHCP
Workstation / OS Information – Number of workstations / current operating systems
Proposed Product/s – Are you proposing the right solution to the customer?
Installation Expectations - network drops, electrical outlets. Is cabling provided or will you supply? Server based or direct IP?
Scanning Options – Scan to FTP, scan to email, scan to desktop?
