dear colleague,
The Euro Fed Lipid Congress series provides important oppor-tunities for the fats and oils community from all over the world, enabling them to discuss every aspect of lipids during high-quality lecture programmes and networking with professionals from aca-demia and industry. The title of the 11th Euro Fed Lipid Congress is: “Oils, Fats and Lipids: New Strategies for a High Quality Future”.
Fats and oils have arguably the highest impact on human health among all nutrients. The meeting will therefore provide discussion opportunities on the existing lipid related problems to ensure im-proved food safety in the future.
The scientific committee has prepared a unique lecture pro-gramme comprising of all aspect of lipids. The participants will also have the chance to attend high quality ISF lectures delivered by renowned scientists on fats and oils.
The social programme, reflecting the different sides of the Turkish culture and the city of Antalya, will provide an unforgettable time for the guests.
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the 11th Euro Fed Lipid Congress to be held the beautiful Mediterranean costal city, Antalya, which is one of the most popular tourist destination world wide with its sunny beaches and numerous historical sites.
We look forward to meeting you there.

aspendos, perge and Kursunlu Waterfalls
Aspendos or Aspendus was an ancient Greco-Roman city north-east of Antalya. It is known for having the best-preserved theater of antiquity. With a diameter of 96 meters, the theater provided seating for 7,000. The theater was built in 155 by the Greek archi-tect Zenon, a native of the city, during the rule of Marcus Aurelius. It was periodically repaired by the Seljuks, who used it as a cara-vansary, and in the 13th century the stage building was converted into a palace by the Seljuqs of Rum. The Aspendos on occasion features open air performances during the warmer months.
Marvel at the perfect acoustic and the architecture of the Aspen-dos theatre.
Perga (Perge) was also an ancient Greek city in Anatolia and the capital of Pamphylia. Today it is a large site of ancient ruins 15 kilometres east of Antalya on the coastal plain. An acropolis dat-ing back to the Bronze Age can be seen loacted there. During the Hellenistic period, Perga was one of the richest and most beautiful cities in the ancient world, famous for its temple of Artemis. It is also notable for being the home of the renowned ancient Greek mathematician Apollonius of Perga. Perga is an archaeological garden which is a must see for everyone interested in cultures.
A refreshing and pleasant stay is waiting for you at the Kursunlu waterfalls.
