Citation preview
OHMBOXd e s i g n
Welcome.
My work embodies the philosophy of strategic entertainment, integrating the timeless, vibrant
intelligence of nature with the excellence and innovation of technology. I believe that both work
and art are ongoing processes that uplift and nurture the spirit.
My art is a powerful expression of that consciousness.
My skill set, finely honed in the interactive relationship between art and technology, is a great
contribution to a creative team. My abilities as an artist, designer and communicator have ben-
efited my work providing visual solutions tailored to a wide range of clients.
As an artist and award-winning art director, I offer a fresh, sophisticated approach to
solving marketing communication problems. I build on self-expression, culture and client expecta-
tions to create products of intrinsic beauty.
My experience includes fifteen years working in the Bay Area, as well as two years design
experience in the Midwest. I have worked on a wide variety of successful accounts ranging from
consumer, technical and financial products to software and publishing web sites.
I’m a visual thinker and my focus always remains on providing an optical solution
— one my clients can exploit in the long run.
I believe art transforms and reveals the mystery of life. The expert blend
of art and technology — the very look and feel of the product that I offer —
taps masterfully into that enigma.
Welcome. Come look.

“ Hiring Eric Jones was the best thing I ever did for my business. The brand identity he developed for me instantly propelled
my business forward, and set me apart from my competitors.“ - Colleen Gallagher - Photographer

was about, who was behind it and what we were capable of, in just a few key strokes!“ - Bob Spector - Bob n’ Sheila’s Editworld
“ I have worked with many designers over the years but few have compared to Eric Jones. Eric is a visionary with extraordinary talent--he locates the creative heart of a project and translates
it into clear, consistent, and impactful designs. The lushness and sensitivity of his work was the foundation for Splendora’s distinctive, award-winning look.”
- Gina Pell, CEO & Founder - Splendora, Inc.
“ In the eight or so years I’ve known Eric, I’ve watched him morph from art director and painter, into a photographer, web site designer and multi-media artist. Extraordinary, really.
Working with him is an inspiration. He’s creative, generous and hard working. If a hitch comes up in the creative process, he’s all over it until it’s oven fresh again.“
- Kevin Irby - Photographer
“ You understand photography and the creative process very well, being a photographer/artist yourself, and that has made the process and
collaboration very positive. Your artwork is fantastic! “ - Barbara Bowman - Artist Rep.
A few words :
“ I have worked with Eric Jones on and off for over ten years. He was on my staff at Grey Advertising in the early 90s and I have engaged him on several freelance assignments since. I have marveled at his artistic talent and professional growth.
Eric is inventive, prolific, tech savvy, fast, very accommodating, goes beyond what’s asked and never fails to surprise in the best sense of the word. And his work - whether
as an art director, graphic designer, illustrator, photographer, web designer or any combination - speaks eloquently for itself.”
- John McClave, Creative Director

Mez’s Plumbing
It was a pleasure to create this Logo and Identity system for Mez’s Plumbing. zzI transformed an old photo of Mez for a poster and t-shirt design. The rest is meant to feel like silkscreened prints of revolution fashion.

Nueva Castilla Iron Works- Identity and web site
www.nuevacastilla.com
Established in the sixties Nueva Castilla asked me to design a con-temporary identity and web site. I enjoyed the tactile properties of their iron works and the hands on family approach to this unique business. The look I created mirrors the hand tooled product they produce.
