A Message from the
Pulpit Committee…
The Pulpit Committee continues to meet and work through the process of finding a new minister. Alan Newton, the region’s Executive Minister, met with us and answered many of our
questions. We also met with Rev. Nancy Leport and asked her to be our Interim Pastor on a part time basis. She has
accepted and will start around the 5th of February.
The next step in our process will be to create small group discussions with our Congregation. We will be holding these at convenient times so all members can participate and be heard. The outcome of these discussions will help us determine what
we would like in our next Pastor. Once we know what we want, we can access the available minister data base and start
looking at candidates.
The Pulpit Committee continues to meet and will be including
members who are out of town using various technology.
By using video conferencing and cell phones we should not be
delayed when committee members are away.

KidzMin Moment A special thank you and short message from our Children’s Director
I’d like to thank the entire congregation here at OBC again for their
generosity, support and love. The many gifts, compliments , hugs and well wishes I
received during the holiday season were more than enough to keep me happily
blessed throughout the new year.
As we jump into 2017, we’ve added a new
spotlight section to our monthly newsletter to highlight more of the goings on of our
smaller congregation members.
If you witness a special moment with one of our children
or snap a candid shot don’t hesitate to submit to the office for next month’s
‘Kidzmin Moment’ spotlight.
January’s Spotlight is on Heidi F! Asked while reading Matthew 1:1-1
“This is just a long list of dads.
Didn't anyone have moms in Bible times?”
