LanguageSupportinOFMLanguageSupportinOFMOFMsupportsEnglish,Spanish,andRussianlanguages.Bydefault,OFMselectsalanguagebasedonyouroperatingsystemlanguage.IfOFMselectsSpanishorRussianasthedefaultlanguage,thefirsttimeyourunOFM,thesystemwillaskifyouprefertorunOFMinEnglish.IfyouchooseEnglish,OFMyoumustrestartOFMtoopenitinEnglish.WhenworkinginOFM,remember: YoucancreateanewworkspaceinanysupportedlanguagefromPI/Dwightsdata,but

theworkspacethatiscreatedwillcontainEnglishtableandcolumnnames. WBDequipmentisnottranslatedtotheRussianorSpanishlanguages. Theforecastcalculatedphasetype,WellDeliverability,isnottranslatedtotheRussianor

LanguageSettingsandWorkspacesLanguageSettingsandWorkspacesWhenyoucreateanewworkspace,OFMusesdefaultvaluesthatarespecifictothecurrentOFMlanguagesettingforthedatelabel,colornames,units,multipliers,andwellsymbols.Whenyouchangelanguages,OFMdoesnottranslatethecontentsofyourworkspace;ittranslatesonlytheinterface.

ChangingYourOFMLanguageSetting

ChangeyourOFMlanguagesettingwhenyouwanttousedefaultvaluesthatarespecifictoEnglish,Russian,orSpanish. ToChangeYourOFMLanguageSetting1 InOFM,clicktheWorkspacetabandclickOptions.2 IntheOptionsdialogbox,clicktheLanguagetab.3 Selectoneofthefollowingoptions,andthenclickOK.

IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeEnglish,selectUseOFMdefaultlanguage(EnglishUSA).

IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobethesameasyourWindows settings,selectUsesystemdefaultlanguage.

IfyouwanttheOFMlanguagetobeRussianorSpanish,selectSelectavailablelanguage.

4 RestartOFMtoapplythesetting.

SettingtheWindowsSystemLocaleforOFM

IftheselectedOFMlanguageisnotEnglish,thesystemlocaleforyouroperatingsystemmustmatchyourOFMlanguage. ToSelectanAlternateSystemLocaleLanguage1 ClicktheWindowsStartbutton.2 Inthesearchbox,typeRegionandLanguageandthenclickRegionandLanguagein

results.3 IntheRegionandLanguagedialogbox,clicktheAdministrativetab.4 ChangethesystemlocaletothelanguageyouareusinginOFM.5 Optionally,clicktheFormatstabandselectthelanguageyouareusinginOFMinthe

AlthoughnotrequiredforOFM,youcanalsochangetheWindowsdisplaylanguageforlanguagespecificversionsofcommondialogboxes,systemmenuitems,andHelpcontentforWindows. ToSelectanAlternateWindowsDisplayLanguage1 ClicktheWindowsStartbutton.LanguageSupport 23

OpeningaWorkspaceSavedwithAnotherLanguage

IfyouopenanOFMworkspacethatwascreatedorsavedinaanotherlanguage,youwillbeaskedifyouwanttoopentheworkspaceanyway.Ifyouconfirmthatyouwanttoopentheworkspace,OFMwillopenit.However,iftheworkspacecontainsnonEnglishcharacters,thenonEnglishcharactersmaynotbedisplayed.Inaddition,iftheworkspacetables,columns,orcalculatedvariablescontainnonEnglishcharacters,OFMwillnotbeabletoperformcalculations.BoththesystemlocaleandtheOFMlanguagemustmatchtheworkspacelanguagetoensurefullOFMfunctionality.24 OFM2014.1LanguageGuide
