Motive Offshore have developed a renewable energy hybrid power container that has been specially designed for offshore and marine environments. Our containerised power system is the ideal solution for those needing deployable power, emergency power, back up power, power in remote locations, temporary applications or sites with no grid mains supply. The Power Container can be configured to all client requirements.

With renewable technologies, including small scale wind turbines and solar photovoltaics (PV), the power container also combines all

control systems, battery bank and remote monitoring within the fully integrated system. Each container is designed based on project and client needs, with the systems sized appropriately to meet each applications energy profile.

The containers are custom built for the environmental conditions of its destination. With a Class 1 designed small wind turbine with extensive operational run-time already demonstrated in the harshest of conditions in the North Sea, to specially marinised solar panels, the power container is designed to ensure simple integration to it’s application.

The Offshore Oil & Gas sector has a multitude of applications where remote power is required, from unmanned platforms and port services to decommissioning projects across the globe.

With climate change and carbon reduction high on the agenda of all major operators, the need to replace highly polluting and expensive to re-fuel and maintain diesel gen-sets is now a priority. The sector needs to act fast in addressing current remote power demands whilst also

planning ahead for extensive decommissioning projects that require environmentally friendly power supply.

At Motive we understand the challenges the sector is currently faced with, which will become more extensive as decommissioning projects increase through time.

The costs associated with powering operations remotely or offshore are significant, as is the reliability of fossil fuel based power generators.

Motive Offshore’s Renewable Energy Power Container utilises small scale wind turbines and marinised solar pv panels that have been succesfully

deployed in the North Sea for over 18 years.

The power container has been specifically designed for the harsh weather environments experienced offshore. All integrated technologies

are fully marinised and capable of withstanding extreme gusts and storm conditions.

Additional technologies can also be integrated within the container as systems can be designed specifically to the needs of the application. The

container is also modular and can be inter-linked with multiple power systems, allowing operators to expand on power generation in the

event that load demand increases through time. The systems are available in two variants, Marine Environments and

Zone 2 (Hazardous Environments) with full ATEX approval.
