CONDITIONS Entries Close: Friday 16th September 2016

No late entries will be accepted.

Entry forms must be returned to the Show Office or posted to North Coast National A & I Society, PO Box 109, Lismore NSW 2480 by the above date. Cheques to be made payable to “North Coast National A & I Society Inc.” For Direct Deposit, please put reference as Art and

your surname (i.e. Art, Smith). Account details - Account Name: North Coast National A&I Society Inc, BSB: 082 707, Account number: 50975 1261

Entry Fee: Tursa Art Prize $6.60 (includes GST) North Coast National Youth Art Awards Free

1 All work must be original and executed by the exhibitor unaided, within the past two

years and not have won a prize in any exhibition previously. No copies or artworks

done with assistance in workshops or classes etc will be acceptable in any section.

Works must not have been shown previously at the Tursa Art Prize. No more than four

(4) entries per person/per section and only one accepted at maximum size per section

(1m x 1m).

2 Any artwork entered must be for sale. A commission of 20% from the indicated price

of the work will be deducted by the Society. Payment within 30 days.

3 Delivery time for works – Monday 17 October from 9am to 4pm. Artworks to be

delivered to the Gem Club Pavilion, Lismore Showgrounds (unless special

arrangements have been made for early delivery). Artwork may be forwarded by post

and will be returned at the artist’s expense. Every care will be taken of exhibits by the

Society, but no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage. If desired, exhibitors

can arrange their own insurance at their own expense.

4 Artists must put 2 x D rings (min. size 1cm) 5-7cms from the top of each artwork. No

screw eyes accepted. All works must be dry and not exceed one metre in either

direction including the frame.

5 All entries must be suitably framed or mounted with hanging wire attached loosely

enough to avoid damage whilst being hung. Artworks without suitable safe hanging

apparatus or unsuitably framed will not be exhibited.

6 The back of each artwork MUST show the following: Section, Title of Artwork, Price,

Name of Artist, Address and Phone Number.

7 All artworks are to be displayed for the duration of the exhibition. If too many entries

are received, selection for hanging in the Gem Club Pavilion will be decided by the

Committee. Excess entries may be displayed elsewhere if space permits. All artworks

that meet the Conditions of Entry will be judged and every effort made to exhibit all

entries. The Committee reserves the right to withhold any entry which it considers

unsuitable in any manner or does not meet the Conditions of Entry. Entry fees are

non-refundable. The Committee reserves the right to cancel any section if there are

less than five (5) entries. The individual artwork will be allocated to the next

appropriate section.

8 Artworks will be released between 9am and 11am on Sunday 23 October – no works

released on Saturday. Works not collected on Sunday will be available from the

Secretary’s Office from Monday 24 October during business hours. All paintings not

collected by 5pm on Monday 24 remain at the owner’s own risk. PROOF OF

IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED TO COLLECT WORKS.

9 Prize Money: All prize money/vouchers to be collected from the Secretary’s Office.

No prize money will be paid after 1 November, 2016.

10 The Committee reserves the right to have any work reproduced (without fee) in the

press and on television, the Society’s website and social media. The artist is

responsible for ensuring that no relevant copyright laws are infringed. The signed

entry form is evidence of the artist’s consent.

11 The decision of the judge shall be final and if a dispute arises not covered by the

Conditions of Entry, the decision of the Committee will also be final.

12 Youth Art Awards: The entry must be the child’s own original and unaided work and

have been completed in the previous two years. Entries must be framed or suitably

mounted with D-rings (1cm min) and hanging wire or mounted on cardboard with

velcro on the back.
