I . Behoudens die bepalings van hierdie Proklamasie is die bepa lings van die Wet op die Verbod op Betogings in of naby Hofgeboue. 1982 (Wet 71 van 1982) (behalwe die woorde "en tree in

2. Sec tion 2 of the Demonstrat ions in or near Court Buildings Prohibition Act. I 982, is hereby amended by th e substitution in subsection (3) for the ex pression "48 of the Internal Security Act IlJ8 2" of the · expression "7 of the Riotous Assemblies Ac t. 1956".

3. Sec tion I of the Protection of Information Act. llJ82. is hereby amended -

(a) by the substitutio n in subsect ion (I) for the definition of "Government" of the followin g dci'inition :

·Government' includes the Administrator­Genera I. th e South African Transport Ser­vices and a representat ive authority as defined in section I of the Representative Aut h orities Proc lamation, 1980 (Proclamation AG. 8 of I 980);";

(b) by the substitution in subsection (I) in paragraph (a) of the definition " hostile organ izat ion ·· for the words "Act of Par liamant " of the word " law"; and

(c) by the insertion in subsection (I) after the definition of "prohibited place" of the follow­ing definition:

' Republic' includes the territory of South West Afr ica;".

4. Section 5 of the Protection of information Act. 1982. is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph (b) of subsection (2) after the "Po lice", where it occurs for the first time, of the words ", the South West African Police".

6. Section 12 of the Protection of information Act. 1982, is hereby amended by the deletion of the words "'having jurisdiction in the area con ­cerned".

Amendment ufsectiun 14 of Act 84 of 1982

7. Section 14 of the Protection of Information Act. 1982 is hereby amended by the substitution for the words "'State President" and "Gazelle" of the words "Administrator-General" and "Officia l Ga::.elle", respectively.

8. This Proc lamation shall be called the Securi­ty Matters Proc lamat ion, 1985.
