CIRCULAR

Road widening and development of National Highway, State Highway, (HOT)Express Highway, District Road and Road under Pradhan Mantree Sadak Yojna etcare being done by various departments/agencies Similarly, in case of canaldevelopment and some other projects, shifting and rerouting of existing electricallines is required. Two Meter wide utility corridor is being provided by Highwayauthorities at both width end of 60 Meter Road width. Existing electrical lines are tobe relocated in the utility corridor of highway or beyond the ROW of Highways.

In consideration of above, Company has decided that the execution of linealong/across Highways, PM sadak yojna, district road and canal shall be as under:-

(i) 33 KV single circuit line along the roads /canals shall be shifted as DoubleCircuit Single Strung on 152x152 mm 37.1 Kg/Mtrs. 13 mtr. long H-beam with Dogconductor and average span of 50 Mtr.(Refer schedule A-4 of SOR 12-13)

(ii) 33 KV line crossing for canals, P.M. Sadak Yojna, National Highway (up to 2lane) and District Road shall be done with Double Circuit Single Strung on152x152mm 37.1 Kg/Mtrs. 13 mtr. long H-Beam with Dog conductor and usingbridling cross-arms for a maximum Span of 50 Mtrs.(Schdule-A-S). If the span ismore than 50 Meter, DP shall be provided on both sides.

(iii) 11 KV Single circuit line along the roads/ canals shall be shifted as DoubleCircuit Single Strung on 152x152 mm 37.1 Kg/Mtrs 13 mtr. long H-Beam withRaccoon conductor and average span of 50 Mtr.(Schedule C-2 with 13 mtr.H-beam)

(iv) 11 KV line crossing for canals P.M. Sadak Yojna, National highway (upto 2lane), district road & state highway shall be done with Double Circuit Single Strungon 152x152mm 37.1 Kg/Mtrs 13 mtr long H-Beam with Dog conductor using 33KV insulators and bridling cross-arms, for maximum Span of 50 Mtrs. In case ofmore than 50 Mtrs. crossing spans, DP shall be provided on both sides.

(v) 33 KV or 11 KV line Road crossing for 4 lane, 6 lane Express Highway, shallbe decided after joint inspection with concerned authority in following manner:-

a) Underground twin XLPE Armoured cable of 300 sq.mm.& 33 KV voltagesrating shall be laid in two independent ducts, so that during failure of eithercable, supply could be maintained. Cable of both the circuits shall be keptconnected in parallel, from beginning for better stability and reliability. Theprovision for cable shall be taken where-ever,of, if over-head Road Crossingis not feasible technically.

rating shall be laid in two independent ducts, so that during failure of eithercable, supply could be maintained. Cable of both the circuits shall be keptconnected in parallel, from beginning for better stability and reliability. Theprovision for cable shall be taken as per actual side condition.

(vi) Overhead/Underground Road crossings of LT line shall not be permitted in anycase. In case LT supply is required for existing consumer at opposite side of the road,new DTR of appropriate capacity shall be installed.

The GM/DGM both of concerned area shall ensure compliance of aboveinstruction strictly. Safe road clearance shall always be maintained.
